Defence looks solid. Offense needs help in the form of a QB. It's disheartening that Clark throws high, throws behind, throws wobbly, and sometimes throws where he shouldn't. It's a decent showing, though, by the Weebcats.

Oh, gotta get more yardage on the punts too.
 
Defense worn out, offense putting them in short field positions all night long. Can't believe Clark is our best option. :wall:
 
Why not give Green a chance? Clark couldn't figure out where to throw. He is limping and lost. At least give Billy a chance!

Based on what we saw last season I don't think Green is any better. Give Leckington a shot. This team could be a QB away from being pretty good. Although running game didn't do much better.

Leckington is fine with me. I agree, A QB away from being good. OSU knew we couldn't throw so it was hard to get the run game going. But the defense looked great especially for being out on the field the whole game.
 
Only score was a defensive interception?! Any injuries? Hope the offense shows up next week (mainly a stronger quarterback performance) or it's going to be a long game & maybe another long season. Not an impressive first game result, but defense side looked stronger and had some good stops. :|
 
We had times last year when Green was our only offense. It was not his fault we couldn't win games. He showed greatness at times. If Clark isn't productive through half of the NDSU game, put Green in. I'm certainly pulling for clark to step up though. Props to clark for playing injured. If he's not 100%, next man up.
 
Agree on your comments on the QB. Line did a pretty good job of protecting tonight under the circumstances but if you think the QB change is going to fix everything, you are mistaken. Lots of other things have to change on offense including 5 dropped passes, lack luster play call. Wow a whole game without a screen play call. We ran one draw and and I think it was our biggest gainer on the ground.....I could go on but getting late on 3rd street in Corvallis...and way to many pubs to hit tonight.
 
A QB away from a good team. I am glad Jadrian owned up to the magnitude of his mistake with the interception. But you cant have a QB that throws the ball without looking. He did it after that also. I am not sure that is a problem that can be corrected. He also throws very hard with no touch which makes it harder on the receivers. I don't see them switching but I wish that freshman was up to speed. We don't need spectacular just steady.
 
Offensive play calling is very concerning. No way the freshman QB can help us this year either and agree that Jad was bad. We have 5 QBs! Where is Big JC QB?? Where is anyone? We need to keep up with our def which can't be on field whole damn game! I'm not giving up I'm just worried that we couldn't get an offensive series against a bad pac-12 team. This should have been a 21-20 game at worst. I'm too negative thought would wake up less so- Nope.
 
Everyone is worrying about the Qb play. Although I don't think our Qb played well and he will need to play much better if he wants to play at the d1 level. However the number one job of any Qb is ball security and he only turned it over once so he showed that he won't blow the game but unfortunately he has not proven he can win a game. I saw no offensive scheme or hurry up pace durning the game from the weber OC. That has got to change. Way to many dropped passes that were drive killers. Also no gamers on offense no one making any plays.
