Part Deux: North Dakota

Best stat of the night... no WSU vs opponent scrum.

Nice win Cat's way to take control and put UND away, good 15 point win.

Mook has really come alive the last couple of games. Nice to see. Berry had a great second half. I do wish Wheelwright could get whatever is bothering his game straightened out. I was sure he was going to be much more productive this year. He is so quick to the basket and he has a decent shot.

Well, North Dakota had their moments, but Weber just had too much size and depth for us to match up with you guys for 40 minutes. Brekke did end up playing for us, but that was largly because another of our bigs went down in practice this week. :-( It looked like UND was going to make a game of it again midway through the 2nd half, but Weber did a great job of quelling any momentum that accumulated for us. Just another sign of a good basketball team. Once again, UND faltered after halftime, which has been a recurring theme this year.

Good luck the rest of the way, and I hope we get a chance to meet up with the Wildcats in the tournament, because that would mean UND did something right between now and then.

I got a chance to meet several people associated with the UND women's team last night. I am very impressed with the friendly, professional demeanor of these NoDaks. UND will prove to be a great addition to the BSC. It only makes me want to travel to North Dakota in the near future. Every time I have gone there in the past the people have been warm and friendly. :thumb:

Mook had a hell of a nice night. 20 and 14...YIKES!! To go along with a couple of solid blocks, steals, and assists. He is starting to play great, right when we need him to. He also hit all of his FTs.

Biggest issue with Gelaun is that he isn't a PG. He is a SG. He shouldn't have the offense running through him. Bam played some PG as a Soph, so when Richardson is off the floor maybe have Bam play the 1 and put Gelaun in as the 2. We all know he has the skill and talent to put up numbers, now will he? To me, at least, he looks more comfortable playing as the 2. Next year Weber will have 5 guys who can play the PG, on the roster: J-Rich, Gelaun, Zaid, Bradford, and Senglin. I'm guessing, if Senglin is as good as advertised that he could be playing 20 a night, but he could be the 2 as well as the 1. Who knows. They all can play both positions. Anyway, Bam will be graduated, so, maybe have Gelaun become the starting 2?

yeah, earlier in the season Rahe talked about having Wheelwright out there with Richardson so Wheels could play the 2 and he was doing much better for a couple of games when they could do that. But that meant sitting Bamforth more, which it seems like Rahe doesn't want to do know (he did say recently that Bam had become one of their best on-ball defenders).
And yes, I imagine next year's starting guards will be Richardson at the point and Wheelwright at the 2-spot.
