I still like ice cream olds.... Before I go to bed. One other thing. Rahe has also never beaten a ranked opponent. Not too relevant, but even Cravens has those type of wins to his credit.
So why don't you quit the current head coaching job you have and take over at Weber after you force Rahe out.

Look. This is a bad loss. Thats the only way about it. The team that is picked to win the Big Sky should beat a middle of the pack WCC team... What do these types of losses do for anyone? I cant think of a single positive. As a fan, I am tired of moral victories, learning experience. What learning experience do these guys need? Most have played in two NCAA Tourney games.... :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: . You are all buying into the Rahe mentality. This team has zero business losing last night. We lost Joel, but brought everyone back. Rahe is a terrible coach, great recruiter. With him at the helm, my passion slips every season. He has peaked in my opinion. I am tired of beating up teams in "league" play. We should seriously just forego the OOC games, we either lose the road games, or play Barbers University at home. Rahe needs to figure out how to coach. His play books need to leave. People act like these games dont matter. These games do matter if you want to have any chance at winning in the dance. I am sure we will win "league," but thats about it. You think these mid-major teams that make noise in the dance are satisfied with losing to a Pepperdine in OOC? Why cant Rahe coach/act like every game is do-or-die? Im tired of just wanting "improvements" game in and game out. What are we actually improving for? 300+ RPI teams come "league?" I mean, come on man... Then people on here defending Rahe and they dont even watch the game, just checking the box score after the game is over. And then dont get me started on Rahe and his OOC record. Oh, what the heck, lets look at numbers. Rahe all-time in true road OOC games, excluding pre-season tournaments is 6-37.   He is a whopping 16% on the road in OOC games, meaning on average he winw half a game a season on the road. That not expectable. And the games we all love, the instate games, its worse (for obvious reasons). All-time record vs BYU is 0-10 (soon to be 0-11), against Utah 2-4, against USU 2-10, against UVU 3-2. I didnt include SUU, because they are now members. He is 7-26 all-time against teams from this state, at 26%. Against the "big 3" he is just 4-24, for 16%. It is so pathetic I want to hurl. NCAA record, 0-3, CBI 0-1, NIT 0-2, CIT, 5-2. He would never survive as a head coach in a top 20 rpi conference. He cant coach... Dont get me started on the Montana meltdown and not figuring out the press 11 years later. I seriously have lost touch with this team, and it stems from games like yesterday. It starts with Rahe's no care in the world for these games. He cant put together a decent home schedule for me to see. It is so sad that the home game I am looking the most forward to is Denver.... :wall: It is a good thing I am not a major donor to the program, because I would seriously consider cutting the funds with Rahe at the helm. I have said this before, but I will say it again, we cant get better with rahe, but we can get worse, but I am hopefully one day someone will get us to the next level. I have never before been more excited for WSU football over basketball. Too bad the football season is near an end. Our 11 year head coach cant figure out how to win, and thats the frustration. Look at the talent he has, and nothing to show for it, there is a reason Dame never went dancing. (side note: its getting hard to even listen to the games on the radio.. I cant stand Steve Klauke's voice).

A pretty accurate summary of Rahe. And I can't say I really disagree with any of it, except for the comment on Klauke. I like Klauke. Rahe is not a good in-game coach. We all know that, and Randy has admitted as much several times. His system is a clone of Morrill's (something else he readily admits to), and he's unwilling to change because he knows nothing else and has never had experienced assistants to help him change. But, Rahe's not going anywhere. He has no desire to leave. And why would he? Somewhere else might hold him accountable. He works for an administration that worships the ground he walks on and in their eyes he can do no wrong. Plus, he has a fan base that accepts what he is and doesn't demand anything more.

Yet winning big sky titles is just not good enough. Recruiting good players and developing them into better ones is not good enough. Personally I am a fan of Randy Rahe and I am satisfied at what he's done here, do I wish for more I'd be lying if I said no.We all have our faults in life are we all not perfect. I think the most imperfect people are the ones who live to dwell on imperfection.

OOC is truly frustrating. And I agree with a lot of what Fan and SWeber are saying. Hell, even Randy will agree. Randy can recruit, develop players, and help them to graduate. He is also fairly adroit at preparing his kids to play. We always know, we will be competitive. However, he is terrible at making in-game adjustments and does have some interesting finishes; including Tuesday night.

No matter, his record does speak for itself. He has won 5 Big Sky Championships, taken 2nd or 3rd four other times, and won 20 or more games 6 times. He is the only coach to win 30 at Weber State and has 2 other 25+ winning seasons. His teams have gone Dancing 3 times (should have been three more times, but...), been to the post-season 8 times, and won a total of 209 games for a .64% winning percentage. His is also the winningest coach in Big Sky history and accomplished that feat in 10 seasons. Do we have our WTF games? YES!! Do we lose games every season that we shouldn't YES!! But, at the end of the day, he gets the job done. We will once again be one of the best teams in the Sky at the start of March and be in position to play in the post-season again.

My issue is that, and this isn't just basketball, it is Athletics in general. POTENTIAL IS SLAPPING US IN THE FACE and we are doing very little to fulfill that potential. Two things are killing us: RPI and revenue generation; specific to basketball, but football could benefit too. These things affect football. In four days we might be wondering why we aren't playing a playoff game and that can go back to SOS/Ranking, fan support, and available $$$.

Our RPI isn't good enough for teams to want to play us and it is bad enough where if they do play us and we win, it really hurts them. Even a close win hurts their RPI. These teams don't want to take a chance. RPI is very important. How does Weber improve RPI, beating other mid-majors and majors. However, since our RPI is 125+ usually, most teams below 100 don't want to chance playing us. Even if they do beat us, it doesn't really help their RPI. Pepperdine had nothing to lose by playing us. Their RPI is right around where ours is, and it helps the 4th place WCC team's SOS and RPI by playing the top ranked Big Sky team. Even in a close win, it helps them. It hurts our RPI to lose to the WCC's 4th place team. Even a close loss does nothing for our resume or RPI. However, tonights game is huge for the Cats. Even though Stanford isn't supposed to challenge for the PAC 12 this season, beating a Major on their floor is huge. If Stanford losses that will kill their RPI. They are taking a major chance playing us. By playing at their place, it gives them a huge edge, especially at the end of a week long road trip for the Cats. RPI is huge! We can fix our RPI big time by winning tonight another loss will further sink our RPI.

Revenue...generating revenue is crucial to helping improve our schedule and being able to do those things necessary to build our program. More money gives the Cats the ability to buy guarantee games or have some cash to help get H/H. If you give a team like Omaha an incentive of 50K to come to Ogden and promise a return trip it could help get a H/H. Having an extra 100K can buy a better game than West Coast Baptist (It might be more). We need to get DI wins against comparable teams and when offered the chance beat the teams that are "supposedly better" on the road, like Pepperdine. Our AD needs to realize that there are 12K seats in the Dee. He needs to fill them with paying fans. If that isn't getting done, then you need to cut lose the staff that isn't fulfilling the goal. Getting fans out to the games, especially a full student section that is vocal, helps build a fan base, who end up being your donors, season ticket holders, round ball members, Wildcat Club members, supporters...etc etc etc. Yes, an occasional game on TV is good. But if the stadium is empty. UGH!! That makes us look like total BEATS. We need to fill the stadium! That has to become a priority.

Maybe they can get the business and marketing dept involved.Part of their grade.Fill the Dee and Stewart stadium you get a frigging A

Portland St beats Pepperdine in Malibu by 6. Anyone still satisfied that Weber lost this game?

No one is ever satisfied with a loss, instead the ones you accuse of being satisfied have already got over the fact that we lost and have got on with our lives and refuse to dwell.

Something certain others cant or refuse to do.

No, plenty of people here are satisfied with losses, just read this tread and many others. You don't see any problem with losing to the likes of Iona and Buffalo? IDK, maybe they were good "learning experiences" too. Should I just wait until conference play to voice my dissatisfaction with losses?

Losses happen bro, and you have every right to be upset about them, it's also up to you if you want to continue to dwell on things and continue to let them bother you.

I never said I was ok with losses to Buffalo or Iona, I went to bed both nights upset but just because I don't come on here and rant because we lost doesn't mean I'm satisfied and content with that loss.

If I always want to be mad and bitter about a loss that would be my choice, However I would rather get over it and not dwell on something as trivial as the outcome of A COLLEGE BASKETBALL GAME, makes my life easier.

PSU hit their freebies, took care of the ball, and most importantly, created a ton of TOs. This is a big win for the Vikings and I congratulate them on getting it. Red-Face might actually have a team worth talking about going forward. No matter, they beat a team that Weber should have beaten.
