This should be a no brainer! I told you before, the RMAC sucks. My grandma can win in that conference and yes, I know they beat us like a drum, but so could my grandma! The RMAC! Really????

Collins is resurrecting the Alcorn program and he will do the same here. He's got a great eye for talent.

Going from 3-6 to 5-6 is better but I am not sure if that is a resurrection.
 
let's have some realistic expectations here. It would be foolish to expect 9 wins next year and a playoff birth. Even though I think we have some good talent that a new coach can do wonders with, it takes a little time to create a culture of winning. Doubling the number of wins from the year before is very good progress. If Collins is the coach i think he is, (if he stays at Alcorn) i expect he'll have that team winning 8 games next year.
 
Wow this has turned into the clusters of all clusters. With only two candidates left not sure why it would not be done yet. It seems to me that maybe Jay is trying to round up some more money to go back to Logan. Pure speculation but it just seems that if an offer had been made to Collins or O'Boyle they would have jumped at it and this would be over with by now.
 
An offer has been made and calls are being made to put a staff together. It is one of the two candidates listed. I am not saying who, because putting the staff together may be a problem with the resources available, and I don't know if it has been officially accepted.
 
The Greeley Tribune is now reporting he has accepted the position as well.

When Collins goes 9-2 next season 80% can say O'Boyle would have gone 10-1. :mrgreen:
