POLLS (STATS & Coaches)

I don't think head-to-head is as big a factor as record and SOS (and other fuzzy math logic):

Nevada beat Weber St 19-13, but:
Weber St 90
Nevada 111

To me, the WSU/Nevada situation is different.

For one, it was a close game. 6 point difference. Weber even led at half.
Secondly, Nevada is 6-4. 2 games difference.

But regarding Sac State and UM, it's a mere 1 game difference (with FBS games being the factor) and the head-to-head game wasn't close. 27 point difference.

I can! With the big FBS conference shakeup on the horizon when the moratorium lifts, it sure would be nice to be wanted after a couple successful seasons in a row with momentum and some stellar recruiting under our belts!

Count me in!

The goal here is to literally "beat down" Davis so bad that we get a Top-4 seed when it's all said and done. Why does this matter? Because Top-4 seeds not only get a first round bye but ALSO home field advantage ALL the way thru the Semifinals.

NDSU and JMU is getting 1-2 (Montana has a chance for 2 if they beat down MSU convincingly), so they'll get home field all the way thru the Championship game in Frisco, but 3-4 is up for grabs and it's HUGE!

Not only does home field help with the play, but revenue and exposure to the school, etc. etc.

The Sky posted the tie breaking scenarios, basically if all 3 tied, UM gets the nod, I’d WSU loses this weekend, we we get autobid. If we are tied with WSU, they get autobid

Since we're pretty saved in getting into the playoffs, the "auto bid" doesn't really matter. Now, obviously, it'd nice to win (share) the Big Sky title for the first time since joining the conference, but the auto bid doesn't affect the seeding

How are EWU (to some degree) and the Manure Pile (in ALL degrees) STILL getting votes?!?

Agreed, but believe it or not, we want them to be ranked (be regarded) as high as possible to booster our SOS even more.

The last two make sense. But what’s the reasoning for UM if all three are tied?

To me, point differential between the 3 teams should be the deciding factor.

Hornets are +8 against both teams.
WSU is even 0 against both teams.
UM is -8 against both teams.

I don’t understand why it should be decided any other way. It’s relevant and involves head 2 head results.
