I think we will have a good idea about PSU's fortunes after the third game---as to the progress of the team catching on to the Run-and-Shoot Offense and the 3-4 Defense. A good barometer for the season will then be the first game at McNeese State. If we can steal that one down Lousie Anna way, we should have every reason to hope for the best so long as the next two games show continued mastery of both offensive and defensive execution.

I like the potential of the offense.

If the defense doesn't reload, that's going to be an issue.

If it comes down to the kicking game... errrrr...

Obviously, I'd love to see better than 7-4, but I find it hard to bet that way.

It seems pretty close in the votes.

PS the game at San Diego State wont matter when it comes to selection time. If they lost to Montana and McNeese (which should be a good game) with a FBS team on the schedule, I see them getting the at large. You just need to take care of business against Montana State and E Wash. 2 teams will get in and you are fighting for #2. I think you should be fine and in contention all season.
