Hey fans, sorry about the terrible and undeserving loss yesterday. What a bad to lose a game. But have no fear your next game will not be a tough one. The Vikings have had little hope for any game this year. Expect your team to score a lot as well as ours.

Anyways feel free to join our board and talk about the game

Should be a good game. We match up against you better then we did last year. I'll be there but I think our fans as you can you see by the lack of activity on this board have given up on this team. If we beat you we can still tie for last place correct? Same with Sac State if they lose?

Thanks for the props on the Sac State game. Still hard to swollow.

Yep, if we win, we tie with PSU and the ISU/Sac St loser. As for a score prediction, I'll go with

PSU A bunch
UNC A bunch

No idea who will win, I just hope the Nottingham scoreboard can keep up with all of the scoring. I have a hunch that Breazeale might just go nuts on Senior Day.

Who do you all think had the more worse season?

PSU - New Coach who promised a lot and gave lots of excitement, at the year of end 1 he delivered our worst season in a long time

UNC - Struggled all year long but does have a bright future with lots of young talent.

I'm going with PSU because at least we saw a terrible season coming down here in Greeley. You guys have had it rough. Hopefully Glanville can turn it around like it looks like Downing is starting to.

Not quite. UNC will be last place regardless. Sac beat UNC so Sac is one rung out of the cellar even if Sac loses to ISU and both teams end up with the same record.

Nothing to be proud of, both teams need alot of work. It was nice to see us finally win one where it came down to high drama, usually, we are at the losing end of the stick.

I don't agree that UNC won this game and was robbed. We had two rushers over 100+ yds. And one of your scores was a hail mary type pass to Fauver. This is just an indication again that both teams belong in last place.

Congrats to your soccer team playing for the championship against Sac in only your second year.

A hail-marry pass to Fauver? Obviously you didn't see it. It was a perfect pass, probably Breazeale's best pass of his career. Absolute perfect strike. You had NO business winning that game and congrats on your fluke win. BTW, your rushing yards came win our best linebacker and leading tackler went out with an injury in the second half.

I agree it was a miracle win and Sac stole one there and they should be happy and leave it at that.

The Sac guy does make a valid point though our run defense was terrible with or without Sarremento. King looks decent as a replacement, he's a big dude, but has no expierience.

But if I'm a Sac fan I have to be pissed they let UNC go on two long scoring drives in the 4th quarter.

As a UNC fan I'm encouraged UNC was able to make those two long drives in crunch time.

I think #90 Silipo is the future star in the DL, he's got a nack for making plays which this team needs.

Also, I said it in pre season but Fauver reminds me of George Carroll. Undersized guy that just always gets open and catches everything.

I was not at all impressed with either RB. I know there was been a little hype about this Woods kid but he has no burst and I didn't see him break a tackle all day. We need a stud, legit RB badly.

I should look this up but I thought #57 who came in at Center when Gable got hurt did a fantastic job in the fourth quarter so I got to think we have a good potential Center for next year... OK, I just looked it up the kid's name is Tim McGraw and he's a RS Freshman... I'll be keeping that guy in mind for the future.

McGraw is one of the trio of guys we got from Douglas County their state championship year: Muns, McGraw and Fassler--otherwise known as "74" to all of us posters.

Actually, if UNC wins and Sac St loses, UNC, Sac St and PSU will all be 2-6 in conference and 1-1 against each other. That's a 3-way tie for 7th place.

Also, the pass to Fauver was UNC taking advantage of a Sac St mistake. Fauver ran a slant-and-go and the Sac St defender jumped the slant route, letting Fauver into the end zone untouched for a 24 yard TD.

The win was a fluke, UNC was the better team all game long, I know, I was there.

Yeah I wasn't too impressed with Sac either. They had an interesting RB combo thought, sort of a thunder and lightning thing with #9 and #34... their QB seemed decent when he threw but they rarely threw and when they did they got 2 TD's. Beyond that their OL seemed undersized to me although they run blocked well so maybe my perception is off.

On D they didn't bring anything to the table that I saw. Slow and undersized, I can see why they have struggled all season.

But from the stands it seemed like they played hard and they weren't chippy or talking smack so I give them props for being classy.

But I told someone on the way out you could be a football fan for 50 years and not see a hail mary like that in person. Although I was crushed when it happened it was an amazing thing to witness. I would trade not having witnessed it though..

The whole outfit was classy except one player, a WR I think, #2. He kept taunting the fans, which is understanable, but not very classy.

The Bears should have won the game, but Sac. got lucky. But luck is as much a factor in football as anything else.

I did not have the greatest view of the last catch, but it looked to me like a UNC player got a hand on it, and tried to bounce it out of the endzone. Also I know it sounds like sour grapes, but it looked to me like one of our linesmen got held on the way in....

I feel bad for the players, this was a bitter loss, the fact that they just sat down at the end of the play speaks volumes. When you know a loss is coming it is one thing, but I think everyone expected UNC to win that game.

On to the topic, of PSU v. UNC.

I have not seen PSU in action this year, but based on my limited knowelge it seems like turnovers are a problem on offense, and the d is just not that good. Overall though it seems like they are a slightly better team that us this year.

However...

I hope this last loss lights a fire under UNC and they come out swingin'. Leave everything on the field and play like you have nothing to loose. If we do that, we can win.

I am not going to perdict a score, but I forsee a shootout. Although a sloppy one, that UNC manages to come out on top of.

I think a win over PSU would make this season a success in a horrid unholy kind of way but I just can't see us winning this one. In fact, it will be PSU's break out game where they will look like the contender they were predicted to be in the preseason.

I think it may be a close one. Neither team has anything to lose, so who knows? If you look at the commons teams since UNC beat MSU, PSU just lost to that same MSU team 50-36. PSU also beat EWU and SAC early in the season when they were doing well. The Bears just played both of those teams really close, and just to put some things in perspective, EWU put up over 500 yards passing against Montana, the Bears held them to less than 200 yards in Cheney. That's not bad.

Anyway, since it's not against the Grizzlies, I'll be rooting for the Bears!!

Regardless of what happens have fun this weekend. After this weekend we will have one long and grueling off-season ahead.....

We will be without three important players Saturday. Chesla, Sarmento and Bigelow are all out with injuries. Not good.

I don't necessarily expect a win but after the last 3 weeks I am hopefully for a close game. If it's a shoot out and we lose by a few touchdowns I can live with that but I'd hate to see is a blow out because that to me would be a step backwards.

If I was a betting man I'd say PSU wins 37-28.

I do not expect a blow out. The lose of Chesla, Sarmento and Bigelow is a big loss for the Bears. However the defense is playing well right now, Eddy and Silipo are getting lots of pressure on the QB and that will be a factor Sat. Does anyone know how Gable is? McGraw came in last week and played great and having Jones back on the line is a big plus.
