Portland State @ Portland

This is a really satisfying win. Nothing better than beating the Pilots on their own court! This makes it four years in a row. I have to say that I was down in the dumps after our slow start but hopefully the team can build on this.
 
Saw this over on Pilotnation.

Yeah, I realize that it's just across the river on the bluff, but two years ago there was barely anyone there in green. Nice to see this.
 
The atmosphere at the Chiles Center was great last night. Can't help but imagine a similar feel if PSU ever gets its own new arena.
 
I wish I could've gone. It's nice to finally see those guys get another W on their record. Hopefully this carries into Saturday!
 
Channel 8 story last night was obviously set up to celebrate the newly-ranked Pilots, rather like the baloons in the rafters. They had a hard time turning it into a "neutral" story. Too bad - they won't be ranked next week. As for us, we won't get much coverage until halfway into the season, and then only if we're doing well in conference. Which now, I admit, seems posible. The women play Santa Barbara tonight. Should be interesting. That's another one of our teams that's having a hard time getting started.
