Post Re: Eastern Washington @ Oregon (Sept 5th, 5pm Pac-12 Net)
How does EWU have 2 LBs from Portland that are better than our starting LBs?

Simple answer....our coach is the best in the NW. Period.

It's true. I have two former OL that were both recruited and offered by Oregon. One went to Oregon, but the better of the two is at Eastern. Coach Baldwin is a huge part of why.

How irritated do you think WSU fans are that Eastern has fielded a team better than theirs with kids Wazzu never even offered? Hell, WSU didn't sign one player out of the state of Washington this year while Eastern has always been 80%+ Washington kids.

I mean, look at Cooper Kupp... here's a kid out of Yakima that is elite. WSU's system requires a lot of receivers. Surely they'd have offered Kupp, right? Dear Lord is WSU's talent evaluation piss poor.

We're at 69% WA kids this year, but yeah, I agree with the sentiment. I hope they continue to not recruit the state of WA. Also hope Leach stays there for a very long time.

While I agree with the sentiment wholeheartedly, WSU is not alone in missing out on Cooper Kupp. I believe that his only offers were us and University of Puget Sound (a D-III located in Tacoma). Seems incredible to think about now!

#14 is going to get tired of his teammates putting this in his locker... Awesome.
