Loved both an play and expect to see Padron va 2.0...with Hennessey taking over later.
Just saw post game va presser....he looked a little woosie still.
We ran for over a 100 and 549 overall. ...but 731 against...there goes out defensive stats leading for the year.
I'm pretty sure VA has a concussion. He may be out for a few weeks.

He looked fine at the end of the game and in the presser. I certainly hope he doesn't. I'd love to see what he can do against Michigan St.

Here's that long catch and run from tonight's game.

Seriously. Eags have two QB's who can play, O Line did a good/great job, WR's were DOMINATE #ALLGALAXY and the D flew around. This is a seriously good team and Oregon played inspired football to beat Eastern. Hope we came out healthy and looking forward to the rest of the season. Scary thought for everyone we face; this team will get better. :D

Tough to gage the defense. Yes, a ton of missed tackles but we're talking about a 4-2-5 D with 215 lb Big Sky linebackers and db's in run support against 230 lb NFL running back prospects. We were just a bit small and a bit slow compared to the opponent.

Hennesey has WAY better footwork than West. West's deep throws and arm strength are superior. It will be interesting to see what happens here.

My take away thoughts on the game is the caliber of player and staff we have. Our players matched up VERY well with the Duck players. Sure there were a couple of exceptions but all in all our guys were capable of playing right along with them. We got burned a few times on executions and missed tackles but generally speaking we were right there with them.
That is a testament to our coaching staff and the quality of kids they recruit and more importantly develop.
good Job coaches!!
Proud to be an Eagle

I knew that Oregon would run all over us. Something for everyone to note: 61 points were hung on us by the highest scoring offense in the PAC 12 for many years. It's hard to gage the defense when you go against that kind of monster. Oregon played AGGRESSIVE. Going for it on fourth, going for two points, etc. Last year we gave up 59 to a far less talented UW offense. Do what you want with that information.

I think we wipe the floor with Northern Iowa next week.

UNI played Iowa State close for a half, but otherwise didn't play well. The good news for us is that they really had no offense. However, the good news for them is that the UNIDome has been a graveyard for some pretty good Eagle teams of the past.

I like our chances, but we need to play a great game in order to win.

The Eagles can score on anyone.
Last year Ohio State scored 42 in a National Championship win. Cal scored 41 in a loss
2013 - Arizona 42 and lost
2012 - USC scored 51 and lost
2011 - none over 40
2010 - none over 40
Beau Baldwin and staff know how SCORE points!!

A couple of video highlights for Cooper.

I went back and watched the replay of the game today. It confirmed what I was feeling at the time about some of the officiating. They simply missed a lot of calls. In particular, they let Oregon line up in the neutral zone on several occasions or did not call blatant offside on the Oregon defensive line. On some plays there was more than one player making the infraction!

Take a look at the top picture and tell me how the line judge does not call that. This happened several times throughout the game. I'm not saying officiating played a huge part in the outcome, but how do you miss this?

The first INT, thrown by West, should not have been an INT at all. It was obvious that two Oregon linemen jumped across the line before the ball was snapped. That was the worst no-call of the game, IMO, and really deflated any attempt to try and make a game of it at that point.

The no-call of the offside on the interception was egregious. The line judges missed a handful of offsides and illegal procedure penalties throughout the game. That said, we were beneficiaries of a couple mystery calls later in the game.

Anyone hear about Hill? I never saw him on the field after he was knocked out of bounds. I did see him running up and down the sidelines but hoping he was kept out to save for the rest of the season.

Was this a Pac 12 crew? Aren't they graded by their league whichever it is? I would like to see the grade for officials released after every game. That would make for interesting taunts of the officials

Not sure of its accuracy and too lazy to look it up to verify, but according to an article on Bleacher Report:
The last five FCS opponents Oregon has faced put up a combined 35 points on the Ducks. The Eagles managed to hang 42 on Oregon.

Our offense seems very capable again this season and I thought both qb's looked good. Our defense, as always, seems like a work in progress.

Maybe so, but for me, I don't put a lot of stock in defending UO's offense as a litmus test for defensive improvement. The Ducks have put up similar numbers on many FBS teams throughout the last five years, some of them highly ranked, including putting 59 on FSU in the semi's last year, and beating them by 39 points. I know that was a Mariotta led team at the end of the season in an incredible situation. I thought the D looked really close on several plays, and tighter tackling, catching that INT that was right in then hands of our player, and not being offsides on that onside kick, and it is a close nail-biter of a game. I don't think many FCS defenses could've slowed the Ducks down when most FBS defenses can't seem to do it either.

Now, this Saturday, against what is said to be a fairly anemic UNI offense, our D really should have a good day. If they allow a lot of points to UNI, I will be far more concerned.
