Hate to disagree with my man, Claw, but I think our defense is a little better, there offense is not WSU's, and I see this as more of a playoff type game against a really good defense along the lines of Jacksonville State or Towson in 2013. They won't be able to shut us down, but they can make enough drive killing plays along with turning us over a couple of times to keep us below 40. That still doesn't mean we won't win though. :thumb:

I am more worried about us stopping our drives with penalties. Combine a couple of self inflicted drive stoppers and their defense stopping us once per qtr and we could be under 40, I hope not. Maybe disappointing would have been a better word than failure.
I don't think NDSU can score fast enough to keep up with the Eagles. We have yet to see what a running team can do to our d-line and backers. I do think NSDU will clean up the penalties they made against Charlston Southern and score more than 24 (17 in reg play). Add a couple of FG's to that total and you are @ 31 for the Bison. It's tough to imagine we can't average 1 TD per qtr and 1 FG per half, 34 Eagles.

Who cares...you are 0-1 all time against EWU, so I guess thats a fact too...NDSU has never beaten EWU. All we heard in 2010 was how the Bison were going to shut us down, and Taiwan wasn't going to get his yards...and now its the same in 2016, just a different cast...

Bottom line is I don't think either defense is going to be able to stop the other. I don't think EWU will be able to stop NDSU's ground game, and I don't think NDSU will be able to stop EWU's passing game. Eastern will try to make Easton beat them with his arm and NDSU will try an pressure Gubrud...I think it comes down to a couple of stops, one way or the other...

Should be a great game on Saturday, although I'm more nervous for this one than the WSU game...

I'm also more nervous for this game than WSU, particularly because I did not expect us to beat them. However, I think NDSU will run the ball 50 to 60 times against us, and we have not proven this is something that we can stop. Until we show we can do that, I think NDSU has the advantage.
