Preparations for BSC tournament...

I love that after the game the athletic department was bold by handing out the ticket information for the tournament! I like all of you want to see a sold out championship game come March. I think this is possible, but only with help from the university. I think that the game this Saturday agianst ISU is going to play a huge part. After we win, it would be cool to have a celebration(like in football up at ISU in 08) or something of at least a share of the tilte. This will generate excitment and while leaving it's great to again have the ticket information to pass out.
Now what's going to make this all possible is a large crowd come Saturday. I think that the $1 ticket idea will get alot of people to the game and they will find out how good and exciting the team is. Then give them that ticket info and thy will buy their tickets. It's very important to have a large crowd come Saturday. This game deserves 8k or better!

How about a deal like this:

Top Ten for Ten

This means 10 tickets for the top ten rows for a total of $10. Lets face it, the top ten rows in the Purple Palace are empty. Why not fill them up?

Waldo... That is brillant! That should be a season long promotion. I think that they need to do something like this for the ISU game. Come tournament time they should do something similar to this. I hate to see the open seats! I want a packed 12,000 turnout for the championship game on ESPN come March 10th!!

FYI, the Big Sky tourney ticket prices are set by the Big Sky Conf. and NOT by Weber State.

42 dollars for even the upper bowl areas? Jeez that is going to be hard.

prbably minus the top 12 rows

sux that the tkt prices have gone up espeically when we didnt fill the dee in 2009 or 2007.

2009 we had 9100 for the title game. 2007 we lost in the semifinal.

i blieve last yr was $40 and $20.

No, $42 gets you lower, I ordered 6 All-Tournament @ $42 a piece for all 3 games (2 WSU hopefully this year damn it all) front row.

See 7 pages back for the tourney tkt pricing thread from last yr:

Ticket prices for the 2009 Big Sky Championships

All-Tournament pass (includes all three games)
$40.00 -- rows 1-30
$20.00 -- rows 31-39

Single-day tickets
$24.00 -- rows 1-30
$10.00 -- rows 31-39

WSU student tickets
$5.00 per day.

$1-$2 Bucks, who cares.

2003 10,121 Championship Game against EWU
2007 9,178 Championship Game against NAU

If I was Bovee, All I would care about the next 3 weeks is making sure the DEC has 12,000 people inside come 7:00 PM on March 10.

2008-09 when PSU hosted:

The Intel Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament
Semifinals, Tuesday, March 11 (both games televised on Altitude/Comcast SportsNet)
#2 Northern Arizona (20-10, 11-5) vs. #3 Weber State (16-13, 10-6), 5:37 p.m.
#1 Portland State (21-9, 14-2) vs. #4 Idaho State (12-18, 8-8), 8:07 p.m.

Championship, Wednesday, March 12
Winners of the semifinal games, 6:03 p.m. televised on ESPN 2

Ticket Information
All-Session passes are available now and are only $40.00 per ticket (plus applicable service charges). They guarantee you a reserved seat for every game of the tournament! To order All-Session passes visit http://www.rosequarter.com or http://www.comcasttix.com or by calling 1.877.789.7673. Portland State fans can call the box office at 503.725.3307. Single game tickets will be available only on the night of the respective games.

The first 700 Portland State students, showing valid identification at the door, will be admitted free on each night of the 2008 Intel Big Sky Conference Basketball Championship at The Rose Garden. The free admission is courtesy of Peter Stott, the PSU student fees committee, and various other donors. Regular student admission at the door will be $12 each.

also keep in mind Portland State had to pay to rent the Rose Garden so it made the tkts more expensive than what they should have been. We don't have to rent the Dee.

If we want anything special done for our students its up to WSU to pay because the conference tournament is done by the Big Sky not WSU. WSU has to pay the big sky a certain amount of money to host it. That is why you saw last yr the "America First" Big Sky Tourney.

Student tickets or tickets purchased by students can only be purchased for portals B,C and behind the hoops at portals F,R.

I dont think they count the students, we always say it seems like there is more than 5,800, but it might be because they dont count the students, the students get in free with thier card they dont have to buy a ticket, so when they count the attendance there arent any student tickets to count, so maybe our attendance for saturday's game vs UNC was really more like 6,300
