Football Practice Log: Day 23, Friday August 29
The Vikings actually looked the part Friday morning, as their formerly bare black helmets received the final touch before Saturday’s matchup with Western Oregon: a spear running across the top.
Practice, if it could legitimately be called that, lasted a brief 30 minutes at the most, with the offense and defense on the field separately running drills at game speed.
Nothing can ultimately be gleaned from an abbreviated practice like this, however, if anything was apparent it was that the mood of the team is upbeat and excitement to finally kick off the season.
“This week seems like it has taken forever,” junior starting quarterback Tygue Howland said. “I’m just ready for it to start.”
