I personally would like to see us go to the NCAA tournament with a seed better than 15 or 16. You have to schedule better year in snd out to make that happen. Two of the last three years we have scheduled 3 non D1 games in the regular season. I am not anti Rahe at all. I was commenting that I think you are ridiculous for blasting UVU for losing to Duke when Rahe doesnt schedule many difficult games. Not anti Rahe but stating a fact.

I wasnt blasting UVU for losing by 30 i was mocking the people calling UVU the second coming because they stayed close to Kentucky, and then using that as a reason to blast Rahe.

How about you live in reality? Nobody came even remotely close to calling UVU the second coming or blasted Rahe. What UVU did against UK right out of the gate is impressive and had an unheard of 24 hour period. Are you related to Rahe or something? That would explain why you fly off the handle at any criticisms whatsoever. Anything wrong win fans having their opinions on a fan board? Even if you obviously disagree with them?

Is that all you anti Rahe fans ever say? I like Rahe so I must be related to him or be him? that is the stupidest excuse I've ever heard in my life. And maybe you should go back and re read the stupid forum because There were several jabs at Randy because he doesn't schedule the big dogs. Well you know what I don't like watching Weber lose by 30 freaking points. And I don't give a d*** who it's against . The whole point of your post was just an excuse to bash Rahe for one of the most pathetic reasons.

Maybe you Should step into reality. Losing to Duke by 30 points would have done nothing for us in the long run and anybody who says otherwise is delusional. You don't get a higher seed By losing by 30 points to Duke. It's Randy's job to get this team ready to win a Big Sky title not an ACC title.

You're more and welcome to your opinion but I have an opinion of my own as well. You don't have to like it, but I don't have to care.

You wanna watch someone play Duke then go be a fan of North Carolina

I'm not anti-Rahe but whatever labels make you feel better fire away. There are most certainly things Rahe could do better and in my opinion having teams conditioned and ready to play all games not just Big Sky games is one of them. I didn't bring up scheduling but Rahe should look to put together the best schedule he can to challenge and improve his team, not to mention SOS will only help as the season progresses. I also never expressed a desire for Weber to play the #5 team followed by the #1 team 24 hours later. If your fear of losing by 30 to the best team in the country didn't cloud your comprehension, you'd understand what I did say was that I was watching an impressive performance by UVU at Kentucky where they led by 12 in the second half. It was another example in yet another year that made me wonder if other teams can be ready to compete that well right out of the gates, then why can't Weber?

Weber did not look good vs Western Montana and tried to give it away in the 2nd half, and you had Harding and Chapman cramping up. Luckily they played just well enough to beat what doesn't look to be a very good Aggie team. I'm glad they won and the game atmosphere was great. This team has obvious talent and I wish they were better prepared to compete before January. You always insinuate if Weber had a stronger OOC schedule and competed better in-state and pre-BSC that somehow diminishes their ability to win BSC which is nonsense. Win, lose, or get blown out by a Kentucky, Duke, or BYU has nothing to do with Weber's ability to challenge for a BSC championship. In fact, playing that caliber competition will make them better win or lose.

Who's putting words in whose mouth now? When did I ever insinuate that I didn't want a better schedule and that I thought better schedules impeded our chances at a Big Sky title? I am saying however that Rahe is coaching this team to win the conference we are in and that I would rather Weber play teams they are at a similar level. And I'm not saying losing by 30 impedes our chances at winning a Big Sky title, but it sure doesn't help it either. A 30 point loss to Duke isn't going to magically raise Weber's NCAA seed from 15-16 to a 12.

Also I never said you wanted to play two top 5 teams in a span of 24 hours, yet more words put in my mouth.

Eastern Washington plays a very tough schedule this year with only 3 home games, only one is a game vs a Div 1 team. Hypothetically when Eastern goes 3-9 in the preseason and then ends up winning the Big Sky do you really think that the committee is going to give them anything higher than a 15?

Look you have your opinion, I have mine, and neither of us is going to agree with the other.

I would argue Randy's job is to win, period. There are multiple benefits to winning outside the the BSC only, not to mention it would be surprising if most fans and players did not have an interest in competing against high-level competition. In more recent years Weber is enjoying recruiting benefits from multiple players making it to the NBA. Similar benefit comes from the visibility of competing with the big boys, especially when you can put a quality product on the floor. Earn a pay check at the same time, all the better. One or two $$$ games per season is far and away better than several games against the likes of the Southwest Academy of Mimes.
