PSU at #3 EWU Game Thread

is there a link to ashton clark's message that was mentioned on the pre game? I didn't get to see or hear it.

The PI call was complete crap. However, I agree, I don't think it mattered. I also find it ridiculous that the O needs to put up 42 pts for us to squeak by a .500 opponent. We have some stuff to figure out.

That being said, what a game. A great effort by coaches and players to close out the reg. A great day to be an Eagle!

Soooo...over on eGriz they are saying PSU was robbed. Other than by their own kicker does anyone know what they are talking about?

That place is absolutely unbelievable. I really don't know why I got baited into it, but I call it like a see it and
now I'm another piece of sh*t EWU fan. They are an embarrassment to college football.

Ah man, you got sucked in. Never get sucked in on Egriz. Most of the posts on there in reference to EWU are made to inflame. Very little is based on actual facts.

A few good things that came of this game are setting record by VA, and Kupp, YEAH and CONGRATULATIONS, and most importantly we learned from it. I am absolutely confident the coaches will breakdown film and coach up the players so a playoff game will not be determined by a flea flicker or double pass.
Doesn't matter if we "like" Nigel but you sure have to respect the job they did of developing a game plan to address our weakness' and getting his kids carrying out that game plan. They are becoming more of a rival than I thought. I already looked at next years schedule to see when we have to face those two wide receivers that really got to us yesterday.

Attendance was 9,522 last night according to the box score. Was hoping to see more folks in the stands, but I'm sure the cold kept some people home. Definitely looked like some people left the game early, which is fairly disappointing.

Missed one hell of a finish. Neener neener to them.

Any word on Eagle injuries? Wil Katoe came off the field limping badly and I didn't see him anymore after that. I also saw McCarthy come off dragging his shoulder pretty bad.
Our first playoff game will be a battle to stop a running team regardless who it is so we will need those guys.

just rewatched the game on dvr. Anyone notice Coach Baldwin consoling Psu's bug number 1 after the game? pure class.

Coach Baldwin wasn't consoling him he was expressing regret. Dean was the transfer receiver that Coach Baldwin passed up on in June. That was the first time they had actually met face to face after the recruiting process..Coach Adams wanted hm bad but they couldn't get it done....they are hoping that he declares so they don't have to deal with him next season...and for the record that was not pass interference on that first TD catch. But it is what it is, see you guys next season.

Well I for one, would have been thrilled to see Dean playing for the Eags. And you're right, the PI was a crap call. Hell of a game by PSU, and good luck next season.

Meh, not like there weren't any missed PI calls against PSU, or BS ticky-tack PI calls against us. It all buffed out.

During the game there was always a group of players huddled around each heater on our sidelines while the heaters on the PSU sideline were pretty much unattended.
Question to former players, are heaters too much of a distraction?
Sounds like Craig Bohl may think so.

Holy cow! what a game! Watched after Cat griz at the bar. Amazing come back. PSU always tough for you like UNC for us. Records don't seem to matter. Congrats and good luck second round.

Well, it's not like we have a dome (or indoor facility to practice in) so we also practice and, in our case, play outdoors. As for the heaters, why wouldn't you want players staying warm and limber as long as they are participating and paying attention when their coordinator or position coach is giving instruction?

Heaters were never a distraction for me, but they were nice when you needed to get loose before another series. For the backups, the heaters are a lifesaver when it's cold enough. Craig Bohl is a good coach, but that would be the most miserable practice I can imagine. :ohno:
