Nevada has a pretty potent offense and is probably going to a bowl this season, but we have no business giving up 70+ points to a middle of the pack Mountain West program. Where was that secondary speed that Saadat was praising after the second scrimmage?
The offense is quite concerning at this point. Fast start, but other than Taumoepeau, we didn't have much going on out there. Five of our first downs were via Nevada penalties, so we only really had twelve that we generated, and we only reached the red zone twice. Add in the 3/19 on third down, and it was a pretty awful night of us trying to move the ball.
At least our kicking looks to be better.
Next week is going to be ugly, but hopefully we can clean up some of the errors (dropped passes, penalties, etc) that we saw last night.
