Another good (or sad) part about this game was that it was a lot closer and we weren't dominated nearly as bad as we were by Chadron State.

When the game first started I was a bit confused, Purdue was playing some school called NCU which I wasn't familiar with. I would have notice it was us right away except we were playing pretty well so I figure it was some other school I'd never heard of... so anyway, what was up with that NCU crap? Pretty sad but to be expected it was their network afterall. And it was pretty funny at times listening to the homer annoucers where of course every single call that went against them was a bad call. A couple of those pass interference calls were so blatent but of course the annoucers thought they got robbed. Anyway, that's to be expected you had to laugh.

This team could sneak up on some people this year. I hope Texas State comes in here cocky although we beat them down there in '06 so they should know better.

Also with a bye week please Downing spend all this week on Special Teams and use next week to install game plan etc. Special Teams will be this teams downfall it looks like.

Oh and I did like the new jerseys as mentioned above. Not over striped like the old ones and instead of the Northern Colorado word mark they just went to the NC logo at the top of the chest area. Much more understated and classy so I hope the home uniforms mirror that. I wasn't digging the jersey's last year, too busy, I'm old school in that regard I guess.

I didn't get to watch the game, but every time I tuned into the radio broadcast I was pleasantly suprised. It sounded like we played a lot better on O and D. The game includes special teams though so that will need to get cleaned up and fast. I hope this team is better because if you look what the other Big Sky teams did this week (except MSU) everyone played pretty well and represented. From any of those games, I think every team can claim to have an improved team.
