QB Delacenserie

Anybody seen anything from freshman QB signee James Delacenserie?
I'm the sportswriter in Heber, UT that covered James at Wasatch. I see he's been issued a number and bio on the roster... just wanted to know if anyone's seen him in action and if so how he looks.
Thanks!

Practices have been closed, but the scrimmage this week was open. I don't think he played in the scrimmage. Check with Chase Glorfield at the Idaho State Journal. His blog has a lot of stories and video interviews with coach and players. It sounds like James came and started taking classes and working out with players this summer, and Kramer said he won't redshirt this year since the other QB, Sessions, hasn't set himself apart.

Thanks sasquatch!
Chase and I emailed each other earlier in the summer. I gave him James' contact info, but he found out that freshman were off limits to the media. Kramer seems pretty tough on us media guys - haha.
I looked over the blog posts and it seems Delacenserie is pretty much where I thought he'd be. I knew he was up for the summer and already at work... the kid is a competitor. I'm glad to see he's progressing with no setbacks. Hopefully for his fans back here, he'll get some snaps this season.

Personally, I hope they get through the season without playing him and RS him. I would much rather he keeps the year of eligibility and NOT burn a year for a few snaps. Now don't get me wrong, if he is a better player right now and earns the right to start I am all for it. I just hate to see a kid burn a redshirt and only attempt a handful of passes.

I would like to see ISU have a QB that is a 3 year starter and this kid will obviously have the ability to do that.

....i went to the scrimmage....i think he was number 10 and was in for someplays....but i'm with bengalcub.....hope he doesn't play a few plays and burn a year for that....i believe a more realistic scenario would be IF riley sessions can't step up and do a credible job as the back up....i think kramer would rather put C J Reyes in when he had to this year ....to save James and keep this year as his RS year....on the sidelines....learning, etc.... just my :twocents:

I'm with clawsout.
Redshirt James and gain the year for all involved. Unless, of course, he's going to get in there this year and get some valuable experience and maybe even help the team win. Otherwise, save him for the future.
