Looks like I'm gonna be a Bengal next year! Thanks to everyone who got me to this point in life

ISU Bengalfan do you want me to create a different thread with the list or do you want to edit your post with the updates? I was trying to move your post to the top of this thread and I can not do it.

......WAIT....WHAT ??.....are you talking the representative's son.....I thought he had chosen an academic scholarship somewhere (Stanford?) over ISU and football?......fill us in ....please

Can you just delete the posts above it?

Clawsout, that was me that posted recently that Josh Labrador would accept an academic scholarship at Stanford instead of going to ISU for football. But I did get this info from an assistant FB coach at Eagle High, and if Josh will in fact be a Bengal, then I do apologize for misleading people here. If he does decide to come to ISU, then perhaps we could give him an academic scholarship, and then give a FB scholarship to someone else -- therefore providing more depth.

In this case an accident. I was looking for some high lights and a twitter message came up. Sometimes you just get lucky when your looking up information on the web.

Yep, according to the Idaho Statesman Josh has committed to play for ISU. You guys are really going to like him! That makes four Treasure Valley kids committing to ISU, one to BSU, and not one committing to Idaho.

I suspect Idaho is in real trouble now recruiting-wise in the state with ISU's emergence and simply the dismal situation they are in.

I mean what entices a kid to come to your school more than the "rivalry" with Louisiana-Monroe or Troy?

:D

Vandals announced signings of 9 JUCO mid-year transfers today, which is the first day of the mid-year signing period. ISU usually releases its JUCO kids at the same time as the high school signees in February.

Doesn't appear to be, Mark, but of course there is no JUCO football in Idaho anymore so 99 percent of those kids are going to be coming from out of state.

Does anyone have any idea whether we have offered or received verbal commitments from kids in eastern Idaho? Although the big names from Highland are headed to Notre Dame and Washington, I would think that there has to be a fair number of players from that program that could play at the FCS level. Plus, there were an inordinate number of eastern Idaho teams playing in the state championships in their respective divisions -- Snake River, Blackfoot, etc.

For the record, I am absolutely thrilled with the way Kramer has made huge strides in creating a recruiting base here in Idaho. I heard that when he was first hired, he was very concerned that ISU didn't really have a natural recruiting base -- too much competition from the Broncos to the west, from USU, Weber, BYU and Utah to the south, and even from the Griz and MSU to the north. I think he has gone a long ways to solving that problem with all of the first class players we are now getting out of the Treasure Valley and from all over the state.

Brad:

Should have clarified, my bad. Was just wondering if any of those kids were originally from Idaho.

It doesn't look like any of them are originally from Idaho.
