Recruiting

Tomorrow is a HUGE day for the Hornets (I hope) - any last minute player news? Is there an event scheduled to announce the recruiting class?
 
I went to Hornetsports.com this morning to check in on signing news. The site doesn't even mention that Feb. 4th is LOI day. What a disappointment. Where is the energy? Where is the excitement? This is one of the biggest days of the year for the football program...I have to go to aggietalk.com for recruiting news.

BTW, sounds like Davis is pulling in a solid class. Anytime you can sign kids from strong programs like Cardinal Newman in Santa Rosa, you're doing well. UCD it appears will bring a few kids in from CN.

SloStang - are you aware if Sacramento State and Cal Ploy are neck-and-neck for any key recruits? Thanks.
 
Traditionally, the website waits until the letters start coming in. Then they start posting it, or they wait until all the letters come in. It could be direction from the coaching staff not wanting to post until they all come in.

Just relax, they will post it when the info is official.

I am in Tampa right now and see USF stickers on every business, billboard, etc. This city loves its college football team.

Again, they have a BCS TV contract, play in a BCS conference, and get BCS bowl money revenues......and they were a FCS team not too long ago and they decided to move up and play in the FBS. Plus, there were plenty of FBS conferences to choose from and at there is 4 BCS conferences in their state. How many do we have? One (the Pac-10).

Again, compare apples to apples.....

But it costs money to produce them in mass....you really should see the hole that California is in financially....
 
Sweetwater restaurant has a placard on the hostess stand saying they support Sac State, so does Hoppy's Brewery. I do hope to see this expand out to suburbia. Also, for the first time, I have seen Sac State stuff at Sports Authority and Walmart. I made sure and bought some t-shirts. There is definitely a change coming. So, make sure to wear Sac State around town and buy what you see for sale to support the overall cause.
 
I can attest to the Applebees in Natomas having a bunch of Sac State gear on the wall when you first walk in, and the new Les Schwab, also in Natomas, has a Sac State helmet in the waiting area
 
Very good recruiting class so far.
According to Scout.com and Rivals there are three 3 star recruits and two 2 star recruits in this class.
I'm amazed that we got so many 3 star guys at a FCS School. I was hoping for more 2 star guys but I'm extremely happy with the talent level Sperbeck has brought in so far.

The Les Schwab in Galt has a Hornets football helmet on top of their vending machine in the waiting area, I asked where they got it and they said they had to donate a lot of money.
 
I want a helmet! I would even wear a fake one. Something appropriate for watching the game, rather than, taking a hit. Merchants are you listening? Bookstore? Bueller?

P.S. Where is our flag?????
 
All of the Les Schwabs must have them. The store in Foldom has both an old Gold "Sac" helmet and a newer Green one.
