They had the shots twice and couldn't hit it, they just never seem to be able to make that last shot ever. It kind of always felt like they'd lose.

Well, if you have to lose, I guess that's the best way to do it. Until next year Bear fans...

I don't know, in a lot of ways that's the worst way to do it. Part of me wishes we just would've gotten blown out. Not all of me, but a part. Good luck to whoever represents the Big Sky in the tourney next week, and just try to do better than Montana did last year (LOL).

What's the point? I would rather have the student athletes concentrating on their studies rather than some made up tournament that means nothing and designed for coaches and ADs that cannot accept the fact that their teams aren't good enough...
The CIT tourney meant a whole lot to WSU last year, it gave us 4 quality opponents that we normally wouldn't get to play against. It also gave WSU extra practice time for their young players especially which ALWAYS helps for the nest year.Miguel said:I have never understood the appeal of the CBI. I am sure it means something to the Seniors who will extend their playing career a few games longer. They will probably be their last competitive basketball games they will ever play.

Don't you buy your way into the CIT? I agree, if you don't get into the NCAA, or the NIT, you should just go home. It sucks for the seniors, but oh well, buying into a tournament that no one cares about winning doesn't benefit anyone, and I am sure that the 30K it cost to buy in could go to a better cause for such a small school with no money to waste...

Um... Not really.
I was at UNC's second round CIT game a few years ago. Everyone was still out in full force, and that game probably had the best atmosphere for UNC game that I have seen in recent years. So to say that it means nothing to anybody is just idiotic.

I stand corrected, they do not pay to get into the tournament, but, do pay to host it. So, I am sure paying for the home court advantage doesn't possibly skew the results at all... Sounds legit to me... And while we are at it, tell me please, what does a championship in the CIT mean? You're the first place team out of all the teams that finished third or worse in their conference? Yeah, let's hang that one up for all to see... And just because you were at a game that you thought was fun, doesn't make the game any more valuable to anyone but you... Are you trying to say that since "Everyone was still out in full force" that the revenue for the team and school is worth the addition of the extra tournament? I still don't understand your argument for the point I made that this tournament means nothing other than just few more games for the team to play and get some of the younger guys in the mix against some mediocre competition. Valuable? Questionable... Fun and entertaining for simple minded people? I don't know, you are probably better equipped to answer that question than I am... So my comment about this tournament not meaning much may not be 100% accurate, I am sure it must mean something to someone, but idiotic?
