nobody agrees about this secondary? I"m concerned that the defensive secondary coach is making no adjustments... maybe he doesn't have the horses...dorsey can tackle but can not cover. I'm afraid they will be exploited all year fellas.

The whole defense isn't very good. I agree, either the DC isn't doing a very good job or we just don't have the athletes. I don't how many times the D has been caught out of position, poor tackling, and burned. They've giving up an average 488 yards per game. But I do think it has a little bit to do with the offense going 3 and out all the time too, when you O has the ball for only a few seconds maybe it doesn't give the D time to catch their breath and make adjustments.

I agree that the offense doesn't give the defense alot of rest. I'm looking to see if Lobato can sustain more than just 1 drive a game. His numbers looked good on Saturday, but they don't represent what really happened out there. He just doesn't have the ability to drive the team down the field. He will have his hands full tomorrow. I don't care and have no issues if Lobato starts every game but when he's ineffective, is it possible to make a change in the 3rd or 4th quarter and let Baca just air it out?

I really think the 96 D-II team could compete in the Big Sky and would crush the team we have now. They fought like dogs on defense, it was awesome.

I'm pretty sure most D-II champs would compete in the Big Sky, but I get your point.

Listened to part of it on KFKA and I am not sure there is much you can take away from a game like this. Must have been a strange one to witness.

It was very strange. It almost seemed as though we were afraid to throw the ball. The rain let up a little in the second half, but we didn't start throwing until we absolutely had to. DO looked good running, nobody looked good throwing.

Defense finally was able to hold runners to less yards, though that might have been because the defense knew what was coming. All their yards came on the ground. Didn't attempt a pass.

Considering how poorly the Bears have played this year, the weather helped us more than it hurt either team. We stayed competitive because of the weather. Sac St only won by 14 in spite of it.

However, 14 points looks better than a 50-point loss, so hopefully the team can use this as motivation for beating Eastern Washington, who has also struggled this year, next week.

The rain wasn't the reason we didn't throw it, it was the wind. It was gusting, swirling, changing directions all over the place. Whenever someone did try to throw, whether it was Fleming, Lobato or Orms, the ball looked like a balloon that someone had just let the air out of.
