Does this community ever have anything positive to say about officiating? There was an NBA official on the court for that game so I trust that crew. Only thing I will say is that I thought the consistency of calling traveling was strange. Thought that Katz should've gotten a Technical Foul also, he was all over the refs from the jump. The difference in the ball game was the three point line.
So you don't understand the complaining about the refs and yet the rest of your post is nothing but complaints about the refs.....

Just seems like every post or comment I read is either Fire Randy Rahe (best coach and best recruiter in the conference now that Tinkle is gone), or about how terrible the Big Sky officiating is. I don't find the officiating bad so maybe I am just on an island here.

I was meaning to be a compliment this crew, which featured a very good official with NBA experience. Instead of going into business for themselves and hitting a coach with T's the crew did a great job managing the game without having to do that. I don't think I could've shown that much restraint. The traveling was just kind of odd because there were quite a few of them (I think they were correctly called but they missed a few too). When Joel has the ball on the block and does that quick spin it is always a tough one because he is so quick.

i have never heard of any of the refs we had in the game. not even buzzcutt was there.

Officials: Dick Bavetta, Joey Crawford, Ed Hochuli
Technical fouls: Weber State-None. Sacramento State-None.
Attendance: 898

Yeah we had two NBA refs and an NFL ref reffing a Big Suck game. Good try, you tool.

Scott Holland, Josh Johnson, Brett Nansel

I don't really know any of them. They are probably good people and are probably going to be very good officials. That game wasn't the best ever, or the worst for that matter. Players don't play perfect games, coaches don't coach perfect games, and refs don't ref perfect games. Those are the facts. Fair and honest is what we all hope for, including the refs. :coffee:
