I was a Jason Smith guy, but he needs to be taken out of the game. He makes to many mistakes to swing momentum. We were in control and he throws two picks
NAU is opening up their running game. Hornets can't stop anything NAU is doing. NAU goes deep and connects on a long TD pass. Looks like the Hornets are giving up. Another TD off of a Smith INT. 21-17 with 4 minutes left in the first half. This game went from Sac being in complete control to NAU turning this into a route all thanks to a couple of Smith INT's. Just wonderful.
On the next Hornet drive, McCowan trips on a hand off then Smith ALMOST throws another INT. On 3rd down Smith overthrows the wide open WR by 20 yards. Time to give him some alone time on the bench. NAU driving with about 3 minutes left int he half. A TD here and they will pretty much put the game away.

So friggen undisciplined....you stop em, have a nice punt return and fumble again. I'm done watching
Hornets make a stop. On third and long for some reason NAU calls a shovel passing instead of continuing the abuse of the Hornet secondary. But it doesnt matter as Richardson fumbles the punt. NAU recovers at the Hornet 44. Why Richardson is still returning punts is beyond me. He already proved he knows how to fumble the ball yet the ST coach still puts him back there. NAU driving with the ball on the Hornet 30.
Wow. The pussified zone forces a NAU FG. The FG is good and its 24-17 at the half. Aside from the terrible coverage play calling, the defense is hanging tough. They are getting pressure and if it wasn't for some terrible Smith throws, the Hornets would be going into the half with a lead. I'm calling for MBT for the second half. I don't have any more patience for Smith.

No I'm watching on BigSkyTV.org. And I think I see you on the NAU side...it looks like you are the only one there...oh wait you are. Yeah it looks like there isn't much of a crowd there today. I don't blame people for not going, they aren't missing much. Some Hornet wins can change that.
