I hate losing to marginal programs like Suck State.

Pretty ballsy coming from a fan of a program that has never beaten us.

When was the last time you made the FCS playoffs? Have you ever? When was the last time you won a conference title? You've been a very average program for a long time. We are still relatively new to D1 and if we're were you're at in 10 years I would consider this move up a failure.

You never answered the question though. How long has it been since the Hornets have won a football conference championship?

UNC has 5 BSC wins since joining the BSC (2006 – pres. 6+ years) and have yet to surpass 3 total wins in a season (includes non-D1 opponents) for a combined record of 10-60 (5-45 BSC) to date. After our 4th year in the BSC, we had 7 BSC wins and over our first 6 years in the BSC we had 13 conference wins for a combined
record of 22-44 (13-34 BSC, 1996-2001). So UNC has made about half as much progress in its first 6 years in the
BSC than we did when we joined.


Love the factual voice of reason SD....too many people in a position to make a difference cannot see the simple facts and truth about where we are as a staff and program. You guys are a solid BSC team every year and those who see the scores and follow the BDC would know that. Good luck to and yours this year

For the sake of the respectable UNC fans everywhere, please stop embarrassing yourself and its fan base. If you are going to throw some smack, at least do it in a manner that makes you look less retarded. Rag on our band, or our plain uniforms or crappy track around the football field but ragging on our on the field accomplishments (or in this case lack thereof) is just retarded given UNC’s BSC history. No one is happy to see UNC struggle like it has since joining the BSC.

And as far as the questions goes, we have won the same amount of BSC football championships that you have, only we have completely owned your ass for 7 straight years in the process. :tothehand:

I think the point Beardown is trying to make here is that we feel like our program is at a point where we should be beating teams like Sac State (and PSU, NAU, etc. you know, the traditionally mid-pack teams in the Big Sky) at least occasionally, but we're not and it's incredibly frustrating for the fan base, especially with the success we've found in other sports.

SD, we Bear faithful can't be expected to be at all sane in any way, shape or form. The sane Bear fans bugged out of here back in 2007, nothing but us crazies left here..
