Search for new AD

Who do you want to see? I know who I'd like to have...

Michael Roos - Economic degree from EWU, former player with a lot of pull, and loves the university. We need to fundraise right? What better option that a guy who is responsible for helping with the largest fundraising project in the last decade?

Oh my gosh. Perfect. Is he still local? We'd have bleachers in no time. How cool would that be with him actually at the helm, name on stadium and all.... Donor rich! Pure awesome.

As president at SOU Dr. Cullinan hired an AD in 2010. Matt Sayer is still AD at SOU, I wonder if he would be interested? He does have EWU ties..Collegiately, Sayre played two seasons as a quarterback at Eastern Washington before transferring to Western Washington in 1990. He passed for 1,490 yards as a senior and finished sixth on the Viking career passing yardage list with 2,421. He received an English degree from WWU, and he earned a master’s from SOU in 2001

Sayre has also overseen record fundraising efforts, including a $1.5 million dollar gift for the new Lithia Motors Pavilion and record-setting scholarship fundraising years.

Lynn Hickey, former AD at University of Texas - San Antonio, named interim AD at EWU.

to me always a bit concerning when they left their last position due to personal reasons...I'm sure Lynn is a good hire or Dr. Cullinan wouldn't have hired her. She must have known her or do people apply for interim positions(with the idea they'll get the permanent position)? Hope she's a good one!!

The fact she was introduced as an interim AD confuses me. I had thought Pam Parks was sailing the ship until someone new got hired.you don't often hear someone being hired just to be an interim.

The only thing I can think of is maybe she is expected to be the new AD, but some contractual items still have to be worked out.

Lets hire Rob Spears from Idaho and he can bring the best coaches with him.

Jim Allen was on the Press Box podcast and he said that he's heard absolutely nothing about the AD search. No idea if Hickey applied for the job, no other candidates known or announced, just nothing.

Great problem to have...my only question would be would this be a stepping stone for the guy? I want whomever will be around the longest.
