Selection Show

After we beat San Diego (or the Grizz if they decide to show up next week) When will they know where the next game will be?
Another home game for us?

In that scenario, we will be at home. As long as we win, we are guaranteed a home game until semifinals. In order to be at home in the semis, UNH has to lose before then.

Thanks Rjones61..
Just making sure I have all those days off and get my tickets online..
by the way... the players WANT the Griz.. I hope they don't Coug it with San Deigo.

And the NCAA controls ticket prices and gets the money

Looking at this we have a GREAT draw. Top 4 seed, opposite NDSu and Villanova. We get a pretty crappy Griz team in the first game where we will be coming off a bye and at full strength. We could have easily had UNI, shsu, or sela in the first game, all much more difficult than the Griz.

We have a pretty good road to frisco and we get to knock the Griz out on the way there. Can't ask for much more than that...

Exactly. I like where we are. If we take care of business and UNH does not, we will have another semi final home match. That's just it though, we need to take care of business. I am so very excited. Dec. 6th could not come soon enough.

I think the seeding is pretty good, and fair. I watched the turd-platter bowl yesterday, and Montana looked pretty good. At least they made Montana State's backup QB look pretty bad. Beating a team twice is always tough, but this team is up to it.

As I see it, our path to the title is: Montana, UNI, New Hampshire, NDST.

UNI would be tough. They have a very fast runningback who also doubles as a wide receiver. We struggle against speed, that has been proven on many levels. Also, in our five meetings with UNI, we have never won.

If UM gets past SanDiego (not sure they will), then I would suspect there would be a lot of ticket demand from griz fans. More than a regular season game against the EAGS?

I understand the NCAA gets the profits from the ticket sales. Who makes the decision on extra seating capacity? Would UM get a larger allotment of tickets compared to a regular season game?

I don't believe EWU can bring in extra seats for the playoff games because it's not our game to control. I don't know this for sure, can someone help me out? I do know EWU can't have the touchdown club and extra tents during playoff games.

I also worry that Griz fans will gobble up a lot of tickets if EWU fans aren't on top of their priorities. Lastly, the students will still be in town on December 6th, so that's a good thing!

The two things that historically hurt playoff attendance is classes not being in session and students have to pay for tickets unlike the regular season. Eagle Nation will need to rally the troops to ensure as many Eagles are in attendance as possible.

Having the students in town for at least the first game, will help. Also, the last couple years, student government and athletics have partnered to but the student tickets so that those who want to attend can just go show ID and still attend the game for free. I'd suspect they'd do this again.

I think that Eagle fans are going to step up for that first game against the Griz and ride it through the other rounds because we have more season ticket holders then ever before. Since there is a pretty good chance at a home Griz game I think a high percentage of those season ticket holders will renew for the playoffs.

I expect a sold out Roos Field on the 6th with more Montana fans then we're there during the season, but a far cry from the old days when we were over run.

Starting today at 11 AM, students can pick up their tickets to the home playoff game on Dec. 6! One free ticket per Eastern ID while they last.

Edit: Students can pick up their tickets at the bookstore. Bring your ID.

This is great news. I hope that the they will get the word out and get as many students to the game as possible. Might be a great way to let off some steam after finals week. I believe in the past they have also kept the dorms open later than usual.

Interesting. The Griz are 5-0 against UNI.
