Shocking

Wow, how easy it is to deflect blame onto the QB when things aren't going well. Listen, there's a lot more reasons to why we lost the game than just the QB play. You don't see anyone blasting the defense for giving up all those plays, do ya? Why is no one blasting Jarrett for missing too fairly routine FG's that we drove down the field to get? Missing both of those totally deflated our offense and took any momentum that we may gave gained during those drives.

Some of you need to get behind the team, whatever QB starts this Saturday, because it doesn't really matter - I'll support the team no matter what. I'm not saying that we, as fans/alum/boosters don't have the right to bitch about poor performances, but come on guys - the team needs our support now more than ever, not more criticism.

Jesus, people - we're starting to sound like Montana fans.

Sorry Ranger... but Jarrett, the defense, special teams haven't been consistent with their inadequacies quite like the QB. That's fact.

I don't think anyone on here isn't NOT supporting the team by venting their frustrations...

Re: BLMs attitude and body language, lest we not forget he dropped down, therefore may be suffering from a "I am better than this" ailment <?>.

Found it interesting that on the coaches radio show last night there was no conversation or comments about QB play AT ALL. Well, its bound to work out sooner or later. Hopefully sooner.

I know we are Eags but I will admit when I read about the career ending injury to Griz QB Andrew Selle this AM, I felt bad. Season ending is hard, but career ending is mental warfare.

I disagree. Save for the blocked punt by Beaumonte in the Montana game, and Jarrett's game winning FG, our special teams play has been very marginal at best. Blocked FG against CWU - at least one easy FG missed in the Montana game, along with the two routine FG's that should have gone through against MSU.

And one could argue that the only game that the defense has really stepped up in is again, the Montana game. They did a decent job against Nevada but did give us some really big plays due to poor tackling. And our secondary got picked apart in the CWU game. The only game that the secondary has held their own in was against Montana, and Selle (before he was hurt) was marginal at best this year under Montana's new system and coaches

Ditto on that one.

OK EWU Ranger , I don't think ANYONE is dissing on the team, but I'm a bit confused with your vision of whats happening ! The Defense is the only reason we are even in this race , played a hellava game at UNR, we had poor field the whole game and the D held its own until the 4th qrt ! BLMs int and being way off on his passes, says the recievers and he weren't on the same page, given, it was the first game we all agreed !! CWU pick 6 and we are already down, once again shakey in the pocket blames recievers AND himself for still not connecting ! Montana game down 14 in a hurry once again pick 6 plus way off the mark with the recievers ! If not for the defense thats a loss also !! YOU still with me, there is a trend here!!! Always a reason why not but never a reason how come ! thats cool, there's more than enough blame to go around ! MSU, drive the length of the field on the first drive , have the defense on their heels, get inside the redzone and pass after pass so far from being completed we try a field goal ! ZIPPO, then the pick 6 and this game is done !! I'm not saying change QBs, I'm saying if this guy can't get it done and struggles early SIT his ASS down and let Vitto run with the 1s !! I think we all agree the team was flat but to listen to You defend the obvious is DRIVING ME CRAZY !!!!GO EAGS !

Well it really shouldnt be that surprising that QB play isnt as good as it could be when you have a guy transfer and then play right away. Getting comfortable with the system, team, etc. will probably take the better part of the year anyways. Not saying he couldnt be playing better but I'm sure making a transfer affects some guys differently.

I believe we have some rather young recievers too and nots not going to help out a QB any. But whats pretty sweet is we seem to have a few of them with good potential. Seems like in years past we have one stud WR at a time so maybe another year and we could have a few stud WR on the team.

I dont know I really think this is a bit of a rebuilding year. But it doesnt seem as bad as it could be and next year we could have a fantastic team. Even then its still our playoff berth to lose at this point. So we're still in it.

I agree, I think we might still be a year away. Still, if we can get some things fixed, we could still have a shot this year.

Agreed Ranger. But what if just making the playoffs is a rebuilding year?
