Defense heavy so far

Javonte Adams is a big-time recruit. Had offers from a number of FBS teams, including CSU.

Turnbull had a Wyoming offer at one point:

This signing class is horrible... And im not talking about the players.. I dont think the coaches filled the teams needs in most areas..

3 Colorado kids ended up at North Dakota ! I'm sure there are many more losses . How sad but welcome all the new Bears and good luck !!

It seems like there are some pretty good recruits in this class. It would have been better adding a O lineman or two for depth.

To be fair, it's really hard to judge a lot of recruits at this level of football. There isn't really enough reporting/information in regards of rankings for us to really know. I guess we'll have to see how everyone looks on the field.

Like Slenz said, it's only fair to judge this class after a couple years. That being said, I'm just bewildered there are 0 offensive linemen and special teams. I suppose we're pretty young at each of those positions, but it will hurt with depth later.

Slenz is right. Can't judge this class now. We brought in depth on defense which is what we needed. Look what happened last year after all the LB injuries. We had a safety playing LB one game. The JUCO DL will help out immediately. With regards to the OL, we lost two last year (one graduated and one dismissed from the team), and 2014 class was stacked with lineman. I'm sure there will be at one transfer OL come in before the fall. Overall, I think the coaching staff did a good job in finding players to fit the teams needs. We'll have to wait and see how they turn out.

I too am bewildered by no OL's. And it looks like we lost 5 Colorado recruits to rivals ND, SD & SDS. But I am excited to see WR Jay Frye in action. He can flat out catch the football and has a big long stride with deceiving speed. I think he is a big steal

This signing class is horrible... Worst in Collins tenure as HC for the Bears

That is a pretty general statement to say about 18 recruits that actually look pretty good. How are YOU qualified to make this assessment? Did you watch all of their films, look at their stats, talk to their coaches? You sound like a disgruntled former player.

He's about as qualified as you. But this is a bad class, none of the team's needs where met.

From what I have read from many of you is that the team needs WR, TE, OL, and LB. This recruiting class provided all except OL. Then again, OL seemed to be the main focus of last year, so maybe you need to be patient as those develop. One person mentioned needing an RB. Javonte is a 3 star RB and most definitely will help out in that area. Some of these recruits are talented in more than one position and their skill set could benefit in many areas. You must also realize that just because a kid played a certain postion in hgh school, that does not mean that that is the position that he will play in college or that is the position he was recruited for. Often a kid plays in high school because he was the only one on the team that could do the job but have the body or the skill set for a different position in college. You don't know exactly what the coaches see in the recruits, but they do. The coaches may very well have recruited these athletes for certain needs they have in mind that you don't know about. For instance the Turnbull kid was a WR in high school but watching his film and looking at his size, he may be a great TE. These boys are still in high school and have not matured completely. With the base and skill they have, they may very well be what the team needs.

Does it really matter how good the recruiting class is? Collins has had guys that are in the currently NFL like Seth and Jace Davis. We only won less than 6 games a season with these guys starting, idk... how optismtic can we really be guys? Either these NFL teams are stupid, or these players are legit and Collins couldn't win many games with NFL talent. Just a point. I understand recruiting time is very exciting and create hype.
