You hate to say it's time to payback SUU, but they got us good in Cedar City and its time for us to return the favor in the Dee! It's been a tough year, but getting swept by SUU is more than having a tough year!

It took almost the whole season, but I've finally figured out the problem with our team. We don't have anything close to a leader! I know Hajek gives his best effort to fill that role, but I think it's hard to lead without the credibility of being on the court. Bolomboy and Hill are as aloof as they come and Senglin or Gittens haven't stepped up to the role. I'm still trying to figure out Golden!

Hate talking about next year, but I hope someone steps up to assume that leadership role. Someone that's almost a coach on the court and has the trust of his peers.

Honestly, I think that Senglin is just about there. I think that the others do look to him for leadership and he is getting more comfortable with it all the time. He is evolving into it and he is only a sophomore.

In Cedar, Hill and Gittens had good games. Senglin had an off night. I expect him to do much better this time around. Our O did not perform against their D. Our D did not rotate well in reacting to their O. I am hoping that we have cleaned all of those things up.

I expect a much better performance, all around. They embarrassed us, punched us in the face, and we just let them do it. I'm betting that we see a little pride in our guys this time.

Weber was absolutely embarrassed by the T-birds when they visited Cedar. A true fresh totally had his way with our bigs and a much shorter Oliverson took our bigs behind the woodshed and did things to them that aren't appropriate to mention on a fans forum. All in all, Weber looked bad. The T-birds were tougher than the Cats. Rahe's teams have rarely been out toughed in any game, but that was one of the few games that a Rahe coached team was pushed around. There were times the Cats looked scared and it seemed they didn't even want to play against SUU.

Weber has to come out and be the aggressor. They need to punch the birds in the mouth right away and keep after it for 40mins. SUU would love a sweep. Most importantly, Weber has to reestablish dominance on their home court. A two game losing streak on the Dee's floor?!? UGH!! Who would have ever thought. Time to get some W's at the Dee. Bring the passion on Thursday, our team needs it.

Yet, after the loses to PSU and Sac, I really like how Weber responded. Winning two of three on the road. And for the most part, Weber has a fairly decent road record. Yes, I feel that the Cats should have two more wins, or even three, but that is me. They lost those games because they weren't playing as a team and were soft. After the ISU game, which was an old-fashioned grind it out game, we should be feeling better about our Cats, but they have a long way to go before they are a good team. We will just have to see how they react on Thursday after beating ISU. Loved how the team attacked the zone after half-time. They were relentless.

On a side note...does anyone have any information on Ryan Richardson. Is he out? If so, how long? Who will pick up the majority of his mins? Jordan Brown is a name that hasn't been mentioned much, but will this be his opportunity to get some mins? No matter, I really hope Ryan gets back quick. You could tell he was about to turn a corner.

I don't think anybody new will be getting off of the bench. Just a shorter rotation.

you can't replace trez and berry.
Everyone is replaceable....... tough year, but we'll restock the talent and make a run. I think that some players were expected to do a lot more than they currently are and thats making this year one to forget!

I seem to remember a lot of complaining about Trez's D over the years. He did improve a lot by his senior year, but he had a hard time guarding anyone his first couple of years. I also remember griping about Berry being a little out of control on some of his drives. It's human nature to remember the good and forget the bad as time passes. Yes, we are missing those two. They were solid seniors for us last year. They provided a little bit of toughness that seems to be lacking this year.

This years group is developing into a team, they have just been slow at it. Yes, they are a little soft, but they are getting hardened as we go.

I expect to see a hard fought game tonight. I still think that we can make a little noise before the year is over. :thumb: :thumb:

You said the same thing a few years ago about Lillard and surprisingly the season after Lillard left we didn't suffer too much. Berry, Trez and others stepped up and filled the void. Our post play has really hurt us on both sides of the ball.

Going to ruin my street cred, but I agree with Weber Grad........ Post play has been disappointing. I truly believe that's where we need to pick up our performance. I don't know if it Hill or Hill and Bolomboy, but we are dazed and confused in the post.

I about can't watch Rahe's "offense" anymore. From what I can gather, if there is no fast break opportunity, the only offensive play-- if there is one at all-- is for 3-4 players to literally stand firmly planned on two feet for up to 35 seconds, I guess waiting to see if the defender walks away for some reason. The 2nd option is for Senglin to drive into 3 post defense defenders. I seriously about can't watch the same anemic crap anymore.

I've also had my fill of watching other coaches take full advantage of timeouts, engaging and coaching their teams. Meanwhile, Rahe and Co. spend 3/4 of their timeouts staring at the bench or each other with the same clueless stare Hill has the entire game.

Its been a difficult and dissapointing season and every year can't produce the same success we've been accustomed to but is it too much to expect a historically good team of good recruits to look like their capable of competently running any kind of offensive sets?

biggest issue this season has been post play. It has been soft and virtually none existent.
Tough Season....... Got a punchers chance in the tourney. Very disappointing team. SUU owns Weber. I know, I know, we're young!

Seriously, I would consider suspending Rahe and maybe even Bovee to send a message to athletes, alumni, and boosters that the school understands the gravity of the situation.

Correct me if I'm wrong on this but historically Weber has fired their men's basketball coach for having two straight poor seasons. It's the only program where there is no patience for losing. Rahe better hope his team is much better next season or a lot of important people will be calling for his head. it's totally inexcusable to get swept by SUU, even in a down year.

And what's with Rahe ditching the post game radio interview? Man up and explain how you just lost three straight at home. Speaking of, when was the last time that happened?

Wow! The drama is just amazing! Yes it's a down year. Rahe is responsible for making some bad decisions, but they'll get it fixed.

This year is in the books and it ain't pretty, but the jumping off a cliff mentality is not the answer. It's going to be a very interesting off season.

When you have a player in need of medical attention, you don't do your press conference. I thought Senglin had a broken jaw! That was quite the shot he took! Let's catch our breath and relax a little.
