Spring ball

Can somebody in the building do a little work and get on some spring ball clippings? Sound bytes, video, highlights ANYTHING that might constitute a division I program, please. The tribune doesn't cut it and to have zero coverage from your "RID" aka "SID" is beyond me. I'm excited and want to see how we're looking.

Video is right here. But you're right about the Tribune. Coverage sucks ass.

From what I understand just prior to Spring Break and the players return to school and Spring Ball, the Bears had three (3) WR's (Marcell Peoples, Dimitri Stimphil and Jace Davis) all run SUB 4.40 forties!

That's three players with playing experience return running 4.39 or better 40's!!! With the passing game finishing 5th overall in the conference last year along with a competitive running game that showed some signs of improvement it will be interesting to see what Boyer and Sebato do with all of that speed on offense.

There was also a DB (James Davis) under 4.4 and several players in the 4.4's so team speed should be a plus and utilized!

Go Bears!

How's Chappell looking? Anybody standing out? How's old man Dalton's offense looking?

With the right personel and good execution, Old Man Dalton's offense can move the ball and score quickly! My only question is our offensive line. Can they execute ?

I honestly think this team is talented enough to finish in the top 3 in the conference, and fight for a playoff spot. I'm really interested in seeing how the red-shirt freshmen perform. These are Collins's first real recruiting class.

It's been a long time since I've been this optimistic and excited for Bear football. We ended the season on a winning note, and without two all-americans. We've got a senior QB who will finally have an OC for two consecutive seasons. Lots of reasons for optimism.  :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I would have say I agree completely w you Beardown in terms of the season. Although I have a gut feeling this schedule is slightly different/testing than last years. I believe they can win every Fcs game they play and the DII game for that matter. But it will be much harder than last year; those teams are solid across the board, but so are we so it should make for a great season. I hope angry ginger keeps posting spring ball updates; my gut also tells me she thinks her job is done after 1 post. Life's rough. Go Bears!

Good post, but what about an upset at Wyo? I can't wait for that game. Remember they lost to Cal Poly last year.

Why would you call Heather, angry ginger? She's always been pretty nice when I've talked to her.

Please go Klondike bear, you're a douch-bag, and hold zero credibility on this board. I don't why you come on here and act like you care.

Anyone make it to practice today? Full-pads for the first time.

Count this "non supporter in attendance"! Overall practice was good. Players have invested themselves with coach Collins and his staff, that is clearly apparent. The Oline is STILL the weakest part of the team, but when has that not been the case here. I guess the old defensive line coach left for San Jose state and that was new news. But, they look good and I'm still very optimistic believe it or not bearsfag24. :D

I knew about coach jones leaving for San Jose. I also noticed we have a new DB coach, Charles Gordan. He played under Collins at KU, and was an all-American. He played in the NFL for a few seasons as well.

We all need to contribut to The QB club in order to keep the really good caches, like Jones at UNC. Just a friendly reminder!!! :D

Hey Guys!! New here but long time Bears fan, did anyone get a chance to make it out to the scrimmage on Saturday? I couldn't make it, how'd they look? Thanks, hope to see a good crowd at the spring game as well!!! :thumb:

I was there. Hard to tell from a scrimmage. Is our offense that good? Or is our defense just bad? Versa versa. Lots of guys out with injuries too: Bumpas, Chappel, Lex Smith among others.

I must admit the most frustrating part of the scrimmage, was the lack of info on the team. No rosters were there to be handed out. How difficult is this really? There's no spring roster on the website either. Bush league athletic department. A very minimum D2 Bush League AD.
