Spring Ball

Don't forget about Brant Berglund (Brock's younger brother). I've heard some good things about him. However it works out, I'm excited to have a dual threat QB in the offense. It makes the offense much more dynamic.

I don't mind if Rubes is the starting QB, but I feel he hasn't been pushed very much. I mean really we've got two healthy QB's in Spring camp, and he's one of them. If Brock B truly has an ACL injury he may be finished for the entire season. We still don't know Jaron Walters's status either. The QB situation is less than ideal right now. :ohno:

Agree, Rubes has not been pushed during Spring camp, but he has looked better each time I have seen him. But as with most young QBs there will be some growing pains. Brock B doesn't have an ACL injury. He had surgery on his toe and I believe some repair work done on his Achilles tendon. Don't think it was a tear or rupture though because I have been told he should be ready to start working out again in 8 weeks. If that is true, he will be ready for fall camp.

Brant B, has looked decent at times in the practices and scrimmages I have seen, but I don't see him as a future starter. At best he is a serviceable backup. If Rubes goes down this season and Brock B is not active we are in big, big trouble.

As of the scrimmage last Saturday, it is still 50-50 if NCAA will approve Brock B to play at UNC. Rubes is looking better and better each week but with his mobility increases risk for injury and not sure Brant can fill that spot though he had some impressive moments last Saturday.

Do you know what the issue is with the NCAA approval of Brock's eligibility to play at UNC? Typically, there isn't much of a hold up when moving down in classification. Does it have anything to do with the number of times he has changed schools?

That Video was great. Good to see a football go through the uprights.

What? So you're telling me field goals need to go through the uprights? Since when?

No kidding. Based on what I've seen up at Spring practice, he may not have enough leg strength, but he is more accurate than the kickers on the roster now.

Our kicking accuracy has been atrocious !
