I had to be out of town this past Saturday. What were the highlights of the spring scrimmage? It's always dangerous to try and take too much away from these "games", but who stood out?

Jared Reed #19 The kid is an athlete and looked good. Davis Alexander should get the job. Easton Trakel and the new kid Mataio Talalemotu.

Looks like quite a few injured and didnt' play.

Does anyone have any inside scoop on how long these players may be out? Was looking forward to seeing them play.

I had to leave early, so I only caught about 30-50% of the game and didn't get a chance to make it out for any of the scrimmages this spring.

Is it just me, or is pass protection a bit of an issue right now? Our QBs seemed to have the happy feet after about 2-3 seconds.

I was standing next to Laverde and overheard him say that he has some "big decisions" to make on his football future. Said he broke his fibula in two places and is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday. I would say he is most likely out for next season.

Petties-Wilson said he could have played, but was held out as a precaution. I did not get what his injury was.

I believe all of DNP's were precautionary, except for Laverde who was in a cast and crutches.
