Spring Practices 2019 Thread

Went to practice this morning. Observations:
#3 EB III is doing just fine.
#2 Jayson Williams is looking like the go to receiver.
#44 Dennis Merritt looks even faster than last year and he is running hard. like his efforts, and he ran away from a couple of defensive backs.
reserve QB's need lots of work?
#65 Tristan Taylor at left tackle is my man, correct that he is big enough to be several men. He just turns the left side of the line into a black hole for the Defense. The left side defense is going to be so excited to play a real team, so they don't have to see #65.
#18 Ty Graham played a lot today? It's spring? not sure he gets to play in the fall. He sure looked good, he really atttacks the line of scrlmage.
#21 Dean Sise, Transfer, he played some in championship game, turned eligible Jan I,2019. He also looked good at the rover position or outside linebacker. I am confused by that position
Did not see Custer any where?
Defensive backs did a good job today, I could not pick up #s.
Field goal kicking looked good, not sure who?
Weather was nasty second half of play

Like Jayson Williams, can see him having a break out senior year. Thank you for the "live" update.

Ledbetter talking about being more aggressive and pressuring the QB... Gotta say, this sounds good.

Hunter Klinge had 4 tackles at DB. No # listed on Roster. Another unsigned walk on? He looks the part of an EKG.

Assuming Eastern stays with a one back spread, and assuming we still rotate in a good number of RBs, who becomes the #1 RB? Merritt?

I haven't been to one of the scrimmages yet, but I understand the pistol is integrated into the offense but isn't a primary set for us.

Did Custer graduate?

Thanks for the GREAT laugh EOTS... Sounds like Merritt has been tearing it up and Custer's durability may be in question. Hope he can get right for the whole season. RB by committee?

See stats at bottom of article for scrimmages. Spring isn't going to decide anything unless a serious injury occurs.

The article from the email makes mention of Joshua Jerome, who is rumored to be a gamer. I've heard he'll be a big part of the DL rotation this year, although I'd expect Moore and Ledbetter to be the starting DTs with Johnson and Townsend on the ends. Could be wrong about that, but that's who I'd expect the starters to be going into Summer.

Yeah I think there's a lot of d-line talent. Absolutely excited to see what they do in the fall. Anyone going to be at the red white game today?
