We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

If I was coach, Braxton would be the first big off of the bench. I would make Johnson Coston & Hajek split whatever minutes are left at the 4 and 5. I feel that both of those 2 are bigger liabilities than Braxton. Granted that is based off ONE exhibition game. I think Hajek may have better nights. But a 5th year senior should look a little more composed and not get outplayed by lesser competition.

You stayed away from my main point. It wasn't the match up that caused James problems as you state. It was focus, energy and composure. Our big horse got out worked in the paint and yes you can teach that!

Dude.... Taking some Liberty with my post? I said good contributor.... Not major! We need big bodies! Is it the right time to play Braxton? Yes it is, but you can play both players! I also believe if a player is suppose to be a leader for you in the future it makes no sense to not give him court time to develop! Do you not feel that he needs more time on the court?

I admit, wrong to use the T word, but we've had a couple the last two years!

I'd like to see Joel at 4 and use our bulk at 5..... That's my opinion!

I can get behind that.

This is a great conundrum to have...having a bunch of talented bigs. I think Joel will get 30mins between the 5 and 4. That leaves 50 mins between Hill, Braxton, Coston, and Hajek at the 4 and 5. I think we will see Hill get anywhere between 10 - 20 mins at the 3 and probably 15 at the 4. Coston is good for about 15 - 20, so that leave 20 - 25 between Braxton and Hajek. I wouldn't doubt by the end of the season Braxton is eating up most of those mins and maybe more. Hajek will be somewhat like Fulton was last year. Used in Hajek centric situations. When the team needs muscle and toughness on the floor.

If I was coach, and they have not come a callin', I would look at Braxton as the future of the program at the 5 spot. I would think of him as a future starter and would not want to waste eligibility on a year when he was not going to be, if I didn't have to. I would think of him as a starter for at least 3 years, if not four.
I would ask him to take a red shirt year this year and play next year, either as the starter or the first off the bench, depending on a lot of factors. The three years after that, I would see him as the starter and potential star of the team. He would still have to earn it each year, but that is how I would see it.

He is simply too valuable to risk not having at least three starting years on our team.

As the coach, I would view it as utterly stupid to play him this year, in a limited role. :coffee:

I would say the same thing about Jefferson, I love the kid. His future is bright. :thumb: :thumb:
