So as this was released and confirmed all games will be in Hillsboro this year...

This way we don't have to worry about the management company confusing "football" with "futbol".

Valerie Cleary on Canzano's show yesterday (5-23) discussing the stadium issue.

They can have my piggy bank. :D

Anybody know Phil Knight or Tim Boyle's telephone number? I've got a proposition for them!

So if it costs $2000 to bus out to Hillsboro on Friday, how much is the bill to bus to Pocatello? Maybe cheaper to fly?

And how much should I bill my employer for coming in to work from Hillsboro every day?

I think something needs to be renegotiated.

Ken Goe's Issues and Answers from OLive briefly addresses the problem and offers some insight.

Per OLive's Ken Goe: "...if the Vikings can’t raise the funding, isn’t that in itself a statement about the program’s viability?"

Sadly, I believe Goe is on target here.

Well, considering that there is only one state school that currently does not have an on-campus "stadium"...

Even La Grande's Community Field is on Eastern Oregon's campus.

So your telling me that its cost $65 million to retro fit 8,000 seats in a high school stadium. Sounds a bit much to me, I would think you could build a small stadium for that much.

It is clear that the Portland Public Schools is not at all interested in having an expanded football stadium at Lincoln HS.

If that is the case, then the issue has nothing to do with the football program's "viability".

It is funny what gets reported on in the Portland media when the Ducks have a bye week.

The program's "viability" is very closely tied to how many people it can attract to its games out in the 'burbs and if it can attract funds to provide a downtown football facility.

Interesting point, then. If the Vikings can't raise the funding, that is a statement about "viability". But if they do, then it has nothing to do with "viability" (only butts in the seats)? Is that what you're saying?
