 I say put Van Pelt at guard. He can jack up shots as good as anyone

Funny thought, but he would probably have a higher percentage than some of our guards. Too bad he is out for the rest of the year as well. At the rate players are going down we probably could have used some minutes from him. Jordan Brown is going to see some time very soon.

Too bad that Pelt is done for the year. Any chance that one of the scout players get called up. :?

Nobody left ... Grant is done for the year as well. I guess Kennedy but not likely he'll see any time? This is another problem with Rahe's teams. He uses such a tight rotation early in the season that when the injuries come later in the season we don't have players to back them up. Seems to happen every other year that we get into this type of bind. Almost every team we played before conference started was playing 10-14 players.

I saw a few practices this year and have to say that the scout team (Van Pelt in particular) got yelled at a lot for being too physical and fouling too much. Seems like the coaches should have been begging them to push the starters, especially the bigs. Perhaps they wouldn't be so soft if they weren't treated with kid gloves.

Grant Jones is done?

That is what I heard. Some kind of knee problem that may require surgery.

Ugh...that is a total bummer.

I hope I am right ... that is what I heard anyway.

Anyone in the stands available to play for the Cats? Maybe the NCAA will grant an exception for Lillard and will allow him to play till Jeremy gets back.

I bet only 1 thing changes. Instead of Senglin at the 1 Hayden will now start at the 1. The guards will play 35-38 mins each. We probably will see Hill at the 3 a bit (NO!!!!) and Coston will get more time at the 4, if our softies get in foul trouble.

I don't get why Rahe seems so infatuated with Hill? He's athletic, but has a low basketball IQ...... He's just 2-3 years away from being a good D1 contributor. Look at points in the paint last night..... We got abused again. He's going to be a 3 year starter at Weber and he's as soft as jello on defense.

He seems to get lost right after the introductions.
