Rank our schedule from the easiest to the toughest games.

11. September 15th, Sacramento State
10. October 20th, @Idaho State
9. November 17th, @Northern Colorado
8. October 27th, Weber State
7. October 6th, Northern Arizona
6. November 10th, Montana State
5. September 8th, UC Davis
4. September 29th, @Eastern Washington
3. September 1st, @McNeese State
2. September 22nd, @San Diego State
1. November 3rd, @Montana

I think we have been underrating both McNeese and SDSU. I might even be inclined to put SDSU above Montana. Win or lose, SDSU should be jacked up and ready after PSU's win over New Mexico last year.

I think that Eastern Washington is to high. I know we struggle on the road against them but I don't seem them improving enough yet this year.

Given our track record, I think it's about right.

Their field is horrible. Comes apart with any moisture, and we tend to have that here in the northwest.

Any former players care to comment about EWU's field conditions and the affect on the play?

Please excuse my left-brained approach here...

...but Spokane (nearest weather station) averages less than 17 inches of rain per year. Portland is more than twice that. Blame the Cascades. Mind you, November and December are the wettest months there... but Portland visits in September, the second dryest month.

Mind you, it's sort of desert out there. Grass is not a natural act in the Intermountain West, so when it does rain, it's brutal to the grass. So is too much sun, which is the norm.

I think playing them early has to help, but you never know. It could still rain the two days before the game and create a tough environment. I remember seeing how terrible their field looked on tv a couple years ago.

You guys have a tough schedule, but happy to see Sacramento State as #11. UC Davis Alumni have little respect for their "program". I like UC Davis at #5.
