Stupid TSN...

All I am saying who you lose to and how you play them has to be taken into consideration. Which Sac State team would you consider better this year? A Sac State that is 2-4 and it's 4 losses are getting blown out by Idaho State, Northern Colorado, Savanah State and San Diego or a Sac State team losing close games to Montana, NAU, Weber State and Montana State? Like I said, who you play and how you play them has to be taken into consideration. McNeese State is not as bad as their 2-4 record. Their 4 losses have been to good teams. They play very well against the #4 FCS team and gave the #6 FBS team a good game.

I would buy into the 'good loss' theory a bit more, Stang, if McNeese had a good win. they have beat a lousy Northwestern State team, and squeeked by Lamar in their first game after a 21-year hiatus from football. With Weber having a bad year, Sac doesn't have a signature win yet. Davis beat a lousy San Jose State, and South Dakota, who beat a lousy Minnesota team. Its hard to rank the bottom half of the top 30 (or so) early in the season, because of the disparity of OOC schedules. that being said, I think McNeese is riding on their past reputation.

dang...opened a can of worms with my earlier post!

Bet you a 12 pack they go 4-1 or better the rest of the season. What do you say Mike?

for Poly's sake, you better hope Texas State beats them. at Sam Houston and at Central Arkansas.....hmmm...

they will beat Nicolis (who beat Texas State, by the way) and probably Southeastern Louisiana (maybe not).

so...yeah, i'll take that bet Stang. 3-2 at best, maybe 2-3.

that league is overrated. Central Arkansas always gets early votes and then drops like a lead balloon.

nay....Stang and I are buddies.....i used to see teams from the Southland way up in the rankings and think 'dang, they must be good', but, the more i look at them, the less impressed i am.

I see nothing wrong with some friendly banter. But I warn you, the ucd trolls come out in droves on this board during the Causeway Week. It gets ugly, yet very entertaining.

I'm a semi-hybrid, SD.....Davis alum and former player, and very proud father of a Hornet grad. so, i'll lay low Causeway week. i'll start my own board and flame myself!

it might shock you to know some Hornet fans come onto the Davis boards that week, also! :o

It doesn’t shock me; it’s what happens on any fan board It’s usually the folks who start with the off the cuff comments and derogatory remarks that get flamed. As you can see from your recent posting here we have no problem with anyone bringing legit input to the board.

Dr. Mike you're a cool dude. I like what you have to say on your board because you see it realistically.

Totally agree SHA. Doc you call em like you see em-I appreciate your input. BTW- did you play with Peterson? Went to HS with him- heck of a good guy.

thanks for the kind words, guys.

i was just a little before Petersen. we had this guy named O'Brien on my team. I think he might have started his college career somewhere else, then transferred. he wasn't bad!

i believe i played in the first Davis-Sac game that was officially called the 'Causeway Classic', which is a great name for a rivalry game!

Yeah, Mike is a good guy. I watched him play from the sidelines when his Davis team beat my Cal Poly Pomona team. I had to transfer to Cal Poly SLO so I could be on a team that could beat Davis. :)

This week's poll is also quite hilarious. The voters practically put Weber in the Top 25 for their win, yet we're still wallowing... 7 spots outside the Top 25...

Always a bridesmaid and never a bride. Win and it will take care of the rest.

I think some of the pansy east coast teams like RMU shouldnt even be considered for being ranked. If you dont offer 63 schollies, you dont get your name in lights. And everyone wonders why FCS gets no respect from the public. Bethune Cookman, Dayton, please.
