SUU.2

I agree with oldrunner, that was an embarrassment as far as officiating goes. Im glad we just destroyed them and the refs could not control the outcome of the game because those 3 clowns were a joke!!!! I know its impossible to get every call right and refs miss calls. Last night was crazy as to how inconsistent they were. I would put those 3 guys at a high school JV girls game level. YIKES!!!!! We won so its all good. Lets beat the potatoes tomorrow by 40!!!

Yes the reffing was bad. SUU had 6 field goals in the second half and if they hadn't continually marched Bieber to the line on questionable calls, the end result would have been awesomely awful for them.

However, you have to consider how mature our response was. Calls were going against us, the tech fouls were terrible -- and can normally upset a team. But that's SUU's tactic. Take a team out of their flow, get them out of their game. Our response? We kept our cool and pounded the crap out of them -- legally -- stroked it from 3, stayed in our rhythm. And then we pounded them on defense, ran guys in and out, hit a big shot, allowed ourselves to celebrate for only a moment, then pounded them on defense again. It was a joy to watch!

Really a great team win. Rahe had us ready to go and we played well and kept our heads.

I'm still hoping that the SUU can throw UM off in Cedar City with their style of play. Despite the blow-out win, SUU is still a dangerous team.

One thing no one has mentioned yet, props to the students and the fans who where loud last night. 2nd largest crowd of the year. Awesome

Lets do it again on Monday

Best student section of the year

Yes!

It was a great student section. I hope they all had a great time and will keep coming back. Us old people really, really, really need to see young ones having a good time. It gets us going and I know that it really gets the players going as well.

Hopefully, this thing just snowballs from here on out. :thumb: :thumb:

I don't really care if there is a great student section for tonights game, as long as they show up on Thursday. But agreed...the section on Sat was the best in a long time.

I believe SUU has the guns to our duel UM on their home court in Cedar. UM has four tough road games ahead of them. Granted, the Cats still have to play in Flagstaff and Sac. But I'd rather play their than in Poky, Ogden, Boze, and Cedar. Yikes...thats a tough four games on the road.
