SUU @ #4 Weber State - Homecoming Week

Looking forward to this game. It always seems to be a crazy game with SUU. Even though they have fallen to the bottom of the Big Sky recently, I expect this game will be a little closer than it should be.

This will be a good measuring stick on how we are doing fan wise. Anything less than 12k would be disappointing.

What can you do to help?

1. When SUU has the ball, stand and yell, especially on 3rd down. Also, get those around you to doing the same. One persistent fan can get an entire section loud.

2. Invite a few others to join you.

3. Post something online.

4. Show up early and stay all game.

Ideally we dominate and the stadium stays loud all game. Every good season needs one nice blowout.

No storms in the forecast for game day. Still colder than normal but not bitterly cold (50 degrees at game time, cooling to 40 throughout the game). Great weather for football. Utes on the road, BYU plays early, and USU is off. Add in that we're playing an in-state team and I'm expecting the attendance to be pretty good.

The reason that this game should not be taken lightly is that it will be, and always is, the biggest game of the year for SUU. This is their bowl game, a chance to knock off big brother. They will come in as high as a kite. We will need to answer that enthusiasm early. It is certainly not the biggest game of the year for us. It's just the annoying little puke from down south. However, we need to come out and make a statement. We need to send them off to annoy somebody else. :coffee:

Oh you got this right. This game is all SUU has to play for. It means everything to them. The road team has dominated lately, so Weber State needs to end that trend. They need a good start and no cruise control in a rival game. Ask SUU how that went when Weber State had the amazing rally in Cedar City.

I expect a close game as it is a rival and also due to the inconsistency on offense. Also, the scheme isn’t meant to light up the scoreboard but to wear the defense out over the game.

My guess is 34-24 Wildcats win. Weber State puts it to a two-possession game in 4th quarter and closes it out.

Rivalry or not, SUU is a bad team. Weber should win by 14+ and I think we will. I expect the defense will come back strong after a mediocre performance in Moscow.

Rivalry or not, they're a bad football team. My only question is how much we win by. Oh, and if the ref's mic actually works.

My prediction:
17 points. And no the mic won't work.

In a rivalry game I never take anything for granted. On paper, yes, Weber should win by two or three TDs (which I hope happens), but you never know. SUU has talent and some skill players and our offense hasn't been the most consistent.

Not a fan of the white out promotion or the uniform combo this week.

This is hilarious. They are crossing out Ws all over town in Cedar City. They have only had one, so it wasn't that hard to do.

I would be pretty nice if they threw in the white helmets with purple flying W

No real changes to the depth chart. Downs still is not listed. Constantine is the starter at QB Kevin Smith and Kris Jackson are listed as an OR backing up Josh Davis at the RB position.

Does Downs have a red shirt year to use?
