SUU vs WSU - Sep 27

:jack:

:luv: me some Coach Clark because he knows what he's doing.

:luv: me some JClark because what I see with my own eyes isn't reality.

:luv: me some Reno because Reno is excited about the Big Sky.

I said this on my way back from Cedar City, but the future of this team, particularly the offense, is very bright. As has been stated on this thread, Billy Green is only a sophomore. Sure he has four picks in the last two games, but he'l turn into something great over time. Zach Smith is a sophomore, and that guy is a tank. He's a got a great running back coach in Quinton Ganther, who played for seven years in the NFL. Smith is 100% bought into to what Ganther says, and it's showing. Cam Livingston is also a sophomore and can fill the void once Kehano takes off after this season. Offensively, Weber will be a force to be reckoned with in big way.

Now about that defense.....

It's crazy how things have flipped since the SUU game in 2014... What the heck happened?

Ha!! Funny how things look a year later. Nice find wsucat! :thumb:

I stand by my assessment...Green is our best QB. I hope to see him starting on Saturday.

This is hilarious.

I'm going to practice today to talk to Coach Hill and Clark about the QB situation. Should make for an interesting little piece.

Glad we could do some research for you.

While you are at it, ask him about the Offensive Coordinator situation.

As in if SUU wants SClark back?

Garside, I listened to your ramble, not bad. You made some good points. But, and this is something every Wildcat fan can regrettably, agree with, if Clark is the best we've got, WE ARE IN SERIOUS TROUBLE! :|

He is not a good QB. We are last in the Sky in virtually every offensive category; especially passing. The guy has an efficiency rate of 88, as a starter!! And a completion rate of 47%. Another member pointed this out, that he skipped the ball off the turf 5 yards in front of a wide open guy on Friday night. Clark's strength is his running ability, which he never really does anymore. I think everyone could see from last year, that Green could pass. Something Clark cannot do. He has very little touch, while Green was accurate, had a strong arm, and was fairly dependable.

Green might not be the guy. Yes, it is a new year, but we all could tell, from last year, that he was better then than Clark is now. If the coaches think Shaw is the man, then put him in as the starter. He did great at NCU. What's the harm? I think we have all seen enough of Clark this season. The offense is constipated under his direction.

Seriously-I thought I was over the anger about WSU state of offensive affairs until I hear this BS

what a joke. so coaches are always right? you haven't even talked to them about Green or any of the QB's. "They will be alright?" "Coach Hill and Clark know what they are doing?" Did you see the 3 picks by Shaw against SUU? are you kidding me? they "saw" something in Green and Clark too. WTF does that even mean?

we have no QB that can compete. and an offense that gives up after 1 Qtr and a defense that quits after they see the O quit. This is no "everything will be alright" phase.

The only reason that Shaw is in is that it's Hill's guy. he never trusted the JC transfer (maybe the best passer/arm of the group) bailed on Green and Leck and pulls a redshirt off a true freshman that IS NOT READY by any measure.

so don't make it seem that Coach has some master plan other than to BUY TIME by playing a NOT ready TF QB and saying Jadrian show him the ropes? are you kidding me? what is going on here? Coaching politics-not playing our best option. Or even trying? you really think Green et al could be WORSE? it's seriously not mechanically possible... Or its simply poor evaluation by a soon to be 2-9 HC. Either way attendance is going to plummet further as our ability to be competitive against decent teams continues to slide.

preference at the expense of wins or competitive play. The bad news is his Superman IS NOT.

what a mess

What is sooo hilarious Mr. Brandon Garside? Our offense? Our QB situation? Or, our local beat writer? Oh, wait, that last one would be a, this is a joke.

Brandon, in all seriousness, I think you are doing your best, and I appreciate it. However, the QB issue is really ugly right now. We don't have a guy out of the other 3/4 (Hilinski is now a TE) who can pass better than last in the conference and lead a stagnant offense? If not, we are in serious trouble. Clark is terrible!!

Brandon tweeted out "Coach Hill and Coach Clark said today that they are sticking with the tandem of Jadrian Clark and Justin Shaw at quarterback."

:wall: disappointing, what do the coaches see that we fans aren't seeing? In my opinion Clark is a poor man's Riley Nelson, good enough to not lose games against crappy teams but not good enough to help win against equal or better competition. But he's a warrior, so I'm sure they like how tough he is.

Omg

Of course. Case closed.

Have fun waiting for returning missionaries and a terrible QB to get "taught" by the best.

Recruiting should be just fine offensively. "Hey you too can play for WSU. Lol". Or not play. Or not compete. Or whatever, just hang on long enough for a yet another QB to show up or HC.

Luckily there are only 4 other options in the state to pick from. We should get the rest

Yikes.

Well...that is definitely interesting. :coffee:

Might as well put in a lot more running/option plays. We sure as hell can't throw the ball. :|

There fixed that for you. Where are the hard questions?

"Why do you continue to start Jadrian Clark if the future is about Shaw?"
"Why burn his redshirt year?"
"Obviously you benched Jadrian for being ineffective against SUU, when Shaw struggled, why bring back Jadrian? Are there no other options at QB that we could have explored in a 44 point ass kicking?
"Why is Leckington even on the two deep roster?"
"Is there something mechanically that can be fixed with Jadrian so that he throws the ball better?"
