With the talent coming back, I sure wish we would give up those two non D-1 home games for two road games against the power 6. It could make a difference with a tourney seed. Losses vs. RPI top 50 are better Than non D 1 wins, and there is better exposure too. Same philosophy works for footbal: we get that 2009 at large because of our non-conference schedule. Montana learned their lesson this year, and are now playing at Tennessee this fall.

I agree here, know everyone is bellyaching at not having many home games but I would rather go on the road against some top notch teams and have a close loss than to destroy university of the Southwest by 40. Gives the team a better RPI and helps the conference out also.

Me three, I always complain that Weber doesnt play enough home games, but if Weber cant get a complete D1 schedule, than I think its best that Weber drop the non D1's and go to the road. San Jose St, Southern Utah, Utah and Utah State + the Bracketbuster home game is already a good home schedule, if we can replace our non D1's with 2 D1 road games (I would even take Big West Schools) I would be fine with that.

I would be fine with 1 d2 game if it was an opponent that was relevant. A game against Dixie, Westminster, or even BYU-H wouldn't be to bad.

The only nice thing about playing NAIA teams is that the guys on the end of the bench get an opportunity to play a lot of mins.

Agreed about Dixie or BYU-H for a DII, Westminster is an NAIA, but still would be better than University of the Southwest. LOOOOOOL Catcat left Utah because Rahe has a restraining order against him.

Agreed, If we HAVE to play down we should do it localy and keep the money in Utah.

Where's UND in the conference schedule? I also noticed Depaul, Kansas State, Ohio State, and Michigan are all looking for guarantee games.....would love to see road games in Chicago and Columbus in lieu of the two non-D1. And UH is still looking for one team for the Rainbow Classic.

UND isn't part of the Big Sky for another year or so. 2013 I believe is when SUU, UND, CP & Davis start being Big Sky games. Does anyone even know the for sure time when the football only schools will be in the Big Sky?

Cal Poly and Davis will become football members in 2013. But I remember hearing that all the teams joing the Big Sky in 2013 will play as many games as possible in all sports vs Big Sky opponents in 2011 and 2012.

All new schools will officially join the conference beginning with the 2012-13 school year.

"The Big Sky will be a nine-team football league in 2011, but expand to 13 football-playing members in 2012. North Dakota and Southern Utah will join the Big Sky on July 1, 2012 as full members. Cal Poly and UC Davis will begin play as football-only members in 2012."

Who are we playing in the 3 more games we need? Any rumors of a tournament? Please no replies about a home tournament.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL  ...Hey, in my defense, Bovee was the one who said that he was "thinking" about starting a holiday tournament. I'll agree with him. I'd rather play two or three Mid to Low major DI schools at home then go on the road or play DII's. Granted, that whole problem of actually getting DI schools to come here becomes a serious problem. What does Weber have to entice DI's to play here? I guess we could give them free passes to Lagoon for the following summer, or take them on a tour of the Dog Food factory and after go to Javiers for some fried ice cream.

As for information on games. I've got nothing. Did anyone go to the last Coaches luncheon? I'm sure that Weber will be in at least 1 tournament, I've got my heart set on the Pre-season NIT (yeah that wont happen. Remember 1996's beat down of Fresno State?).

would be cool to work out a deal for an OOC game when a team is here for usu or utah, we are so close, they could come here too. but usu never plays anyone at home besides low DI's or non DI's. not meant as a usu dis, just getting any team to get excited about wont happen with teams that are traveling to logan year in and year out.

I'm hoping the Weber plays USU on a weekend. I have a feeling that the Dee will have between 10K-11K

We had near 11,000 I believe for BYU on a week night but Utah State won't attract that size of crowd. I would imagine more than 9,000 in attendance.

All I know is we need to start putting up some W's against the other instate schools not called "Southern Utah"

And we have 2 great opportunities at home to so this coming season.

We had more than 9k two seasons ago, at home against usu roughly 9,200. Last year our attendance average was up another 1,000 per to 6,000.

So I'm thinking with Lillard back, and on a weekend instate game I could see 11,000 maybe a sellout.

The Schedule is looking really good. I'm thinking the coaches are trying to add two perhaps three more games.
