Terrance Dailey

I had heard that Terrance Dailey may be coming to Sac, and he is now showing up on the roster. This could really add to the running game.

This is the kid that went to U Dub out of Vacaville High, right? I think he was a Frosh last year and played pretty well for the Huskies...

With all due respect to Croxdale, Wilkins, and Travon Jones (he's not on the roster, so I'm not sure if he really is coming back this year) if this is true, he's the starter on a Hilliard-less team, no questions asked.

I will admit, this has me drooling at the thought of a Hilliard (Jr in '10), Dailey (Jr in '10), Wilkins (Sr in '10) combination in 2010 AND 2011...

You're right, it's the same one. I thought he had shoulder surgery late last fall, but not to the extent of Hilliard. This could really open up the ground game as long as he stays healthy and in the classroom.

Prior to Sacramento State: Attended Washington for one season…led the Huskies in rushing with 338 yards on 75 carries despite playing in just eight games…did not see action in the first four games of the season…carried the ball 16 times for 102 yards and a touchdown against Oregon State…also tallied 89 yards on 20 attempts at Washington State.

High School: Graduated from Vacaville HS in 2008…team posted a 23-3 overall record in his final two years and won the Sac-Joaquin Section title in 2006…was twice named all-metro by the Sacramento Bee and was a two-time all-Sac-Joaquin Section first team selection…rushed for 1,741 yards and 28 touchdowns as a senior…named first team all-Monticello Empire League and was the MEL’s co-Back of the Year…named all-West Region by PrepStar and was ranked as the No. 53 recruit in the Far West by Super Prep…as a junior, he rushed for 2,334 yards and 26 touchdowns…had six games with at least 200 yards…was teammates with current Hornets Peter Buck, Zach Nash and Johnny Feaster.

He did not leave on good terms from U of W, so I would be hesitant on making positive predictions so early. There are academic issues also, that's why he is taking summer classes at Sac. There has to be more to it when a kid can't keep a full-ride scholarship.
Hope things work out.

There is a lot more to it... We will see if this works out or not. He has been back for sometime now and talking with the coachs, I am not sure they are a 100% sold on him either. I spoke with some of his previous coachs last week and none of them were suprised his deal at U of W ended the way it did, some even hinted that his Sac State career may end before it ever gets off the ground.

If this kids’ athleticism is worth the risk, and academics is the concern, may I suggest that someone point him in the direction of the right “tutor”? ;)

Academics is one concern but there are much larger issues at play then the classroom.

Then why even consider this guy?

Throwing boulders off an overpass into oncoming traffic.

Wing hunter, I know this kid and have coached him. You are full of shit. You have talked to no one and know nothing.

Well... #1 Winghunter is all one word :D
#2 I am not calling into question if you have coached him, I am sure you have when he played youth football. I have talked in the past with his HS coachs and spoke with my contact in Washington. Even discussed this with one of his HS coachs yesterday while we were discussing another young man.
#3 I will not repeat what was said and I do hope that he finds success at Sac State. If you knew a 10th of what you think you know you never whould have responded.

Have a nice day Ace!!

Isn’t the anonymity of the internet something? As is obvious with wing hunters previous post. Someone gets around the wrong people and bad things can happen. I don’t believe for one second you talked to anyone. Ace. Lay off the kid.

Termite, why is TD now at Sac State? Something obviously happened at U of Wash. The young man (kids play high school football) played for them last season. Why would he give up a scholly in the Pac 10 if there were no real issues? Just questions of interest knowing you're connected to the source.

It looks like the new coach came in and cleaned house. All of the UDub running backs on the team were released due to 'academic issues.' Not saying its not true...

Termite... Not sure why you feel the need to attack me, I did not attack you. I have said that I hope he is successful at Sac State since that will better the team, I have never "been on the kid" so how can I lay off? I have spoke with his HS coachs (late as Monday) and as stated a few of my contacts at U of W, you have the right not to beleive me and I am fine with that. All I ask is that you please base your attacks on fact and not on the platform that you coached him on a youth football team. If I wanted to malign this young man I would have printed everything that I was told, I choose to wait and hope he gets it all together and continues his football career. I would ask the same from you!!!!!

Just a quick reminder to posters...please keeps your comments about the topic and not each other. Thank you.

That sounds like some prison rule, how are posters going to find out how credible something is without questioning a post!? Dont look at anyone, dont talk to anyone, dont post anything that isnt directly related to the title of the thread... Come on!

Other BSC boards are way worse than this one. If posters arent allowed to question one another or have friendly disagreements you can bet on membership declining fast!

This is an issue that has bothered me for some time, moderators are not babysitters!
