Thanks Tad Boyle- have fun watching us on TV.

I think Tad will do well there but he inherited a pretty good team, with a future NBA lottery player on it. He's lucky the aren't staying in the Big 12. The pac 10 isn't a good basketball conference.

I don't think they got screwed. Their RPI was in the 70s. How many teams that low get at-large bids?

The Buffs' non-conference SOS was in the bottom 25.

What I saw they had their rpi in the mid 60s, they did have a weak non conf sched, but you'd think beating k state three times and texas once, would make up for that.

For all their quality wins they laid just as many eggs and that killed their RPI. If they were in the 60's, K State was in the 20's so it was a no brainer to take them over CU in the grand scheme.

I have mixed emotions, I appreciate what he brought here but he bailed also and didn't waste a second doing it so if CU fails I won't lose any sleep.

I think it's great! I was jumping for joy when I saw CU get left out as much as I was when we beat Montana! I've always hated CU and Boyle couldn't care less about UNC in spite of the lip service he gives. I was annoyed when CU started bogarting the publicity I thought UNC should have been getting so everything is now how it's supposed to be.

He shouldn't be too sad though, the NIT is a nice little tournament for that little program over there in Boulder.

UNC Alum and CU fan here---and my take on both teams' postseason is this---
UNC---BAD draw. Playing San Diego State (possible Final Four team--If they beat us and Temple/Penn State, the regional is in Anaheim) instead of an overseeded team (Yes, I'm talking about you, Jimmer.....Gotta love Billy Donovan's teams too but his bunch probably should have been lower as well). CBS has us playing Thursday afternoon at 2:40 (on I think TNT)...So thats not great either.

CU---With the Pac 12 move, they're better off where they are. They get a chance to keep the money they make at the gate (The check you get for making the NCAA is divided just as bowl money amongst your conference is in FBS) instead of sharing it with 11 teams they're done with now.

One more addendum to my last post---If you think CU getting jipped is great-----Our friends in Missoula may not be involved in the postseason AT ALL.....I don't know about you guys but I find that funny.

Montana is hosting Duquesne in the CBI. Could play Weber in the quarters.

In reality, I do appreciate what he did for our program, I just wish he would not have bolted to CU. And again, we may be dealing with the same thing soon if someone comes calling for Hill in the next year or two.

C'mon guys, how can yous seriously hate on Tad? He turned us around and made us into what we are today. Without him we would still be nothing. Thats like hating on Joe Glenn for leaving to Wyoming/Montana. You should be ashamed of yourself for hating on Tad.

Maybe because Joe went from a DII program to a DI-AA program to a D-I program. Also, I really hoped since Tad was a Greeley guy, that he would only leave for a proper bigtime job, not CU.

As much as i hate to say it, its still a huge step up for him though. Defintely cant blame him. Ill always appreciate how he turned us around.

All this, plus Joe didn't leave until he led us to the promised land.
