And it is time for another bengal beatdown like the one 2 yrs ago... LOOOOOOOOOOOL!! Snuggled up with my newborn son ready to watch his first Weber State game... Yee uh!

Congrat's on the baby.

2nd half beatdown. Rahe regrouped the team and made the right adjustments. Congrat's team, keep the streak alive.

Man, get the Bungles announcers some help, they claimed we had three dunks at the beginning of the 2nd half ??? How about 3 layups? Called J Rich Wheelwright? I recognize it got hard to find positives in teh 2nd half, but sheesh!

Kind of an ugly game in the first half, but we adjusted and got the WIN! Go Cats!!

minus the 10 pts in the first half isu got off 10 wsu turnovers it could have been really ugly game. 16 pt win on the road, pretty great!

trez and otis oh so close to double-double each!

6-0, nice! keep it going, 2 home games this week against teams that are 7-61 in Ogden.

what was with the skirmish between the assistant coaches on both teams after the game?   :thumb:

4 - 0 on the road, in BSC play, so far. Keep up the good work Cats. The really good part of all this is I don't think we have played our best ball yet!!! :yikes:

This team can be really good. Too bad we have clueless students.

At the women's game tonight there were more ISU fans than WSU fans. Pathetic!!!

Uuh...let's see, the women wildcats are what, 0-30 something? Can't blame the fans for not showing much interest here. Nearing a losing NCAA record yet?

The women currently have a 34 game losing streak. Long Island holds the record for the longest losing streak for NCAA division I women's basketball, 58 games.

How long was Ord's contract for? I never understood the hire, to be honest. Why hire somebody who spent most, if not all, of her playing and coaching career outside the west? For crying out loud, ISU has more women from Utah on their roster than Weber State does.

A very atypical win for the Cats. Only 1 steal and only forced 10 turnovers. Nice to see good 3-point shooting, especially on the road. off night for Bolomboy. Only 5 boards. used to seeing him near 10. But Tres and Mook picked up the slack. 9 boards for Tres. All Right. Where was Hajek last night?

catcat, Coach Rahe said in the post-game that JRich and Wheels I think were trying not to get the turnover in the final seconds, Coach told them to allow the shot clock to expire, so were smiling a bit and trying to play a little hot potato so they weren't holding the ball when the buzzer goes off. An assistant coach from the Bengals thought they were laughing at the players on ISU or some such, and took offense.

Coach Rahe said he has deep respect for Coach Evans and would never allow such poor behavior as laughing at an opponent. Sounds like it got defused pretty fast, didn't see it myself.

heyoh, at the end of the game it was Berry and Richardson who where near mid-court running the clock out. It appeared that Berry went over quickly and spoke with Rahe, then ran over to Jrich laughing about who should get the turnover. It was in no way laughing towards the other team. It would be interesting to see who technically received the turnover on paper. Maybe Berry was aware of Jrich's turnover to assist ratio and didnt want to have that turnover hurt Jrich?? ;-)

Also, I was at the game last night. It was poorly attended in my opinion. My wife kept telling me she felt like she was in high school at a high school bball game. I wonder what our players think going to a place like that for the first time? They might ask themselves if they really are playing D1 bball. Also, maybe only, 20 WSU fans travled, by far the worst attended game by wsu fans up there I have ever seen. I havent missed many games up there for quite a while. Maybe all the ISU fans traveled to Ogden to see the womens game??! But really though, they need to play for now in Reeds gym. It should be an advantage for them to play there. I remember in 02-03 when they played us in that gym, it was intimidating and LOUD!!!

I think the Big Sky needs to mandate some type of rule that by 2020, all conference members will build or renovate for a new basketball venue. Kinda like what PSU will do, if they still are. So far, WSU, UM, MSU, SUU, EWU are all good, imo. I havent been to North Dakota yet, so no comment. We all know that ISU, SacSt, current PSU, UNC are not on par with the upper half. I cant comment on the Walk-Up, have they completed their renovations for this season? How does it look down there? I know in the past couple seasons, they have been playing on a volleyball court it seems?

Overall, not a bad game by the cats. Hoping for two more good games this week! :thumb:

The conference isn't doing either program, or city, any favors by not scheduling these games on a Saturday. If it had been on a Saturday my family and I, and no doubt many other Weber fans, would have been there for sure. Like last season, we would have even stayed in a hotel, eaten out at least three times, filled up our gas tank, and stopped to soak in the hot tubs at Lava. All this would have pumped a little money into the local Poky economy.

I musta' missed something, since I'm ISU's announcer and I don't recall calling one dunk last night. I recorded the entire broadcast so I can check...but I don't recall once saying that.

I had no issues with your call. Actually one of the better calls I've heard this year. It's understandable to get the opposing player's names wrong at times, but you did much better than the SUU announcer in that regards.

Votb, from what I have heard from past games I have watched, not any WSU vs ISU basketball games though, unlike Catcat -I have been to ever Weber vs. Idaho State basketball game since the 01-02 season- you do a good job. Of course, all announcers are a bit homerish towards their teams, Mitch Stroman is the best and most partial for NAU (Yes, I am partial to Carl, but he is a huge homer), but you are up there. You call a nice game, faaaarrr better than Dutch . The worst in the league are UNCO's, MSU's, and Easterns (the guy gets his own teams names wrong).

WSUFAN...where were you sitting? I might have been sitting near you last night.

As for the Weber contingent. PATHETIC!! Two years in a row there hasn't been a student bus and you can tell it affects the outcome of the game. I swear if the students would have shown up last year, that the team would have done a lot better. Three years ago, Steve Panos credited the students for the win over ISU in 4 OTs. There was easily over 100 students at that game in Poky and they were far louder than the ISU crowd. Even our old people (me included with bengalhater and Catcat) were loud in that one. I'm not one to point fingers, but I've gotta say, that WSUSA, SAC, SAA, Ambassadors, etc etc etc are a HUGE disappointment. Student involvement is ridiculously laughable. Guess we fit the caricature of being Harrison High again. I promised myself that I wouldn't bash advisors, leaders, or student leaders, but after last night how can't I? There are two home games this week and there is nothing on campus telling students about them. Nothing in the Union, no signs, nothing. DISAPPOINTED. Whoever took over for Bev is the Larry Farmer of student advising. :dunce:

Absolutely agree! If I'm not mistaken, the game in Ogden (Feb 11) is also on a Monday. Ridiculous. If the Montana schools are able to play each other on a Saturday, there is absolutely no reason they can't tweak the schedule ahead of time to allow ISU and Weber to play that day as well.

Seems like this is a case where both AD's should take a stand and insist on a Saturday game. It's next to impossible for most of us to travel on Monday, especially when the weather can be so unpredictable this time of year.

I thought your call was good too. You were pretty honest about ISU needing to play a great game to beat the Cat's. I thought you did a good job, I did notice the mistake on the player name, no big deal.
