Alright so there is a lot to discuss about this game. This is the biggest game in the dome in years. Can we win this game with such a lethargic offense? Does the offense turn it around? If we were to lose, do we still make the playoffs?

Huge game for both programs. Win and take at least a share of the Big Sky Championship and a trip to the playoffs. Lose and it could be the end of the season.

If we win, we probably share the conference championship with Eastern or Montana State or both. Lose and I don't think we make playoffs. I don't see us getting selected because of the lack of strength in our schedule, plus losing the last 2 games to teams that probably won't make the playoffs will not help our cause either.

Win and go to playoffs :thumb: :thumb:
lose and we get ready for basketball

If you lose to Cal Poly you will have lost to a team that will have clinched at least a share of the Big Sky Championship and will definitely be going to the playoffs. IF Cal Poly beats NAU they will finish the year at 9-2 overall and 7-1 in conference.

The opening round of the playoffs is Saturday @ the Skydome. Winner moves on and loser goes, or "stays", home. If NAU loses, their two game losing streak at home is too much for the committee to overlook. That and that damned non-counter game vs. Fort Lewis coming back to bite em. Cal Poly loses and they're 1-3 in their last four games. Mustangs left out if that happens.

Defense play for the Jacks continues to be impressive. OL and offense is scuffling. If they can't get healthy and turn this around, a potentially great season ends unfulfilled.

I predicted a loss to SUU and a win over Cal Poly. I stand by this. It'll be close but NAU defeats Cal Poly and gets a first round home game. I have faith in this team once again rising above adversity.

On a side note: Either EWU or MSU lose this weekend. The Big Sky ends a thoroughly muddled up mess. Three Big Sky teams in out of the five teams deserving.

i fear the turnout wont be good. i havent heard a single thing about the game all week. nothing on social media or anything. the one event notification i saw was promoting it as senior day double header, trying to fit volleyball into the equation. i dont think people realize the magnitude of this game

Playing at Wyoming at 7,220 feet the second week of this season should help the Mustang this week at NAU.
it will be a factor, but a small one. altitude has never stopped teams from ruining our seasons before in front of a home crowd so hopefully jerome will prepare for this game

I believe NAU is 8-0 against Cal Poly. The good thing for Cal Poly is the last game was in 2003. I think Cal Poly has come a long way as a program since then. Should be a great game with so much on the line.

Hasn't Cal-Poly lost two conference games?

EWU was a non-conference game. Cal Poly is 6-1 in conference play.

I'm doing my part, jacksdude. Driving up early tomorrow morning for a short escape from the desert. Win or lose...I can't validate missing this.

Cal Poly is going to be tough. Go Jacks!

offense in struggling yet again :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: The defense is keeping us in it, I don't know how much longer they can keep us alive. Offense better get going or else this will be a repeat of last week.

COME ON JACKS!! PICK IT UP

NAU is not a fraud. They are a good team that competed in one of the best conferences in the FCS and the finished 6-2 (8-3 overall). Good season. Hoping the Jacks get a payoff bid. They are a tough team that a lot of teams would not want to draw in the playoffs.
