Both the men and the men and the women did us proud in the tournament. They beat the teams we thought they could beat and fell to teams that had outstanding seasons and were playing at home.

Now it's time to gear up for the sport with the funky looking ball.

Baseball?

As a big soccer (football) fan, I like that shirt.

Oh, you mean Handegg!

I'm also a big soccer fan.

What is this "soccer" you mention? The only thing close I can up with is "International Kickball"...

As for underachieving, since Blo seems to believe that finishing within 1 spot of where you were picked in the pre-season isn't worthy: one of the key items I've always been a observer is the psychology of what goes into putting a team together. That pyschology points up the first problem this year: no players who had been vocal leaders, pushing others. It's tough to get kids concerned with how they're seen by their peers to become hard asses. Secondarily, and BJ admitted this on the coaches show a few weeks back: his first year, there were misses on the recruiting side.

This team improved from 4 conference wins to 10 this year, without a senior. That's progress. Also progressing: the assessment of recruits, an expectation of who should be recruited to UNC to be successful and a young coaching staff learning each time out.

Let me offer a much better finishing thought for this season, as opposed to "underachieving": this team became the third in four years to play in the conference tournament semi-finals. The only other teams who can say that are the two who played for the title.

Nice win by the women in wyo tonight.
How about Montana men? Fn sad showing. Too late to get Weber in there?

Remember in 2011 when Montana fans were worried about us "embarrassing the conference" against San Diego State? Yeah, there's some schadenfreude going on right now.

Yea, Awesome win by our Girls last night in Wyo !!! Lets hope Strange's injury is not serious as they will need her on Sunday. Montana ?? Who the hell are they?

I remember. They are always like that when a team from the Sky goes to the post season other than them. They've embarrassed the big sky twice now. :ohno:

I hate just about everything about UM because of shit like that. I was not sad one bit that they got murdered...two years straight.

They only lost by 49 they kept it under 50. Charles Barkley called them disgracefull and he doesn't even know about all the rapes.

Montana's 47 point loss was a disgrace to the Big Sky. It will be hard for future Big Sky teams to get any respect in the next tournament seeding selections. I thought that Syracuse was a really good team, but they had a hard time beating California in their second round so they are not an impossible team to beat and had no business beating our Big Sky representative by a tournament record of 47 points. What a slam to go down to the biggest margin of loss in the tournament history for a team in that seed. Weber and any of the other top teams in the league could have had a better showing than this. I hope Montana fans never forget how this feels and makes them a little less arrogant.
