In case you havent heard, the UNC men have committed to the CIT IF (likely) the NIT says no. Some of the other teams involved:
George Mason is in.
Creighton and Appalachian State have also committed to play and will get home games Tuesday or Wednesday.

More--Marshall is in the same boat we are, (hoping for the NIT, but they have agreed to the CIT if the NIT says no) The CIT has agreed to give them 3 home games (we're getting AT LEAST one). George Mason is in and gets one (They can't get the circus to move--think WWF and the Nuggets here). Heres your potential field now:

UNC
Marshall
(Both on the condition the NIT says no)
Appalachian State
Creighton
George Mason
the Winner of the Great West tournament

If we end up playing at George Mason I will definitely be there. Any chance BigSkyTV or any other outlets cover this (hopefully KFKA at the least)?

Should be fun. I'm trying to get some kind of story up previewing the interesting CIT field as well as the Portland Pilots hopefully by Monday or Tuesday. The Bears are somewhat familiar with the Pilots after playing them last season, so it should be relatively easy to get game film and know what these guys are about.

FIRST ROUND

Tuesday March 16
Fairfield (22-10) @ George Mason (17-14)
South Dakota (22-9) @ Creighton (16-15)

Wednesday March 17
Harvard (21-7) @ Appalachian State (22-10)
Western Carolina (22-11) @ Marshall (23-9)
Middle Tennessee State (19-13) @ Missouri State (20-12)
Portland (21-10) @ Northern Colorado (24-7)
Pacific (20-11) @ Loyola Marymount (18-14)

Thursday March 18
Southern Mississippi (20-13) @ Louisiana Tech (23-10)

* There is no set bracket. The CIT uses the old NIT model of determining future round opponents following the conclusion of the previous round.

Portland has some quality wins over Oregon, UCLA, Minnesota and DU.

Nice, I might try to make this game. I wonder what the turn out is going to be like since UNC is on spring break right now.

Yikes, forgot about Spring Break. Not good.

I could not figure out the seeding in this. Seems the subsequent match-ups would be based on seeding and I can't find how they seeded the teams. My guess is we are probably an 8 seed since we got one home game but I can't find it.

There should still be a very good crowd (hopefully). When DU came to town the house was basically packed and that was over Winter Break. With it just being Spring Break I know of a lot of people staying around in Greeley, I am still anticipating a good turnout.

Brian, I did see today that b2tv (the website that does BigSkyTV) is going to do each game of the College Insider Tournament on live video streaming. No idea if it is still free or not, also I'm about 90% sure KFKA will do the game. Hope this helps.

That's great. I think Fox College Sports or Fox Sports College might carry some games as well.

Looks like they may draw 2nd round games based on the region.

This, as the CBI is, is pay to HOST. I would think the AD would be more than happy to pony up another 31k if we beat Portland......the 2nd round would be after students return (guaranteed sellout). Some of these schools (George Mason, for one) have scheduling conflicts or are not willing to pony up the fees necessary to host these games.

Drives me nuts that Fox College Sports is not showing the first 2 rounds on TV. They have nothing on tonight, literally nothing. :x

just wanted to stop by and wish the Bears all the best in their game w/Portland tonight. Take it to'em Bears!
