The Jacks pt. 2

It's crazy that Dame still has 17 and he's had a sloppy night. Only 2 turnovers officially tonight, but he keeps losing control of passes and layup attempts that other Wildcats are cleaning up for him. Meh...

was mitch saying he thinks beckner or duft could be the next jacks coach?

Who is Beckner or Duft? I must not have been paying attention to Mitch when he said this....or is this some kind of inside joke thing?

I'll speak for my alma mater and gladly trade ya if you're unhappy with Lillard's production, Hawkssb04. :?

Just got back to the hotel after the game at NAU. It was nice to finally see the Cats in person. Lillard is a stud to watch and it was nice to see KBull hitting his shots. It sure makes a difference having a big like him that can hit from outside.

As far as officiating goes.... meh, it seemed to be on par with all the other Weber games I've ever been to (terrible all around)

Weber fans showed up in good numbers. Tres and Fulton's families were there and represented big time as well as Coach's parents. We hung out a little after the game and I even got Dame to sign my new #1 WSU jersey. :-D We made a special stop at the Target on the way to the game just to buy a Sharpie just in case I ran into him afterwords.

Damian's cousins--my son and niece and nephews--were there as well they drove up from Phoenix. We saw them sitting behind the Weber bench watching the webcast. I wish we could have seen the televised version but you had to be a subscriber--b2tv kept buffering so we saw it in bits and pieces.

Another reason to love small school hoops over the big school stand off-ishness. A few friends @ UofA said their big stars (Bayless comes to mind) walked around campus oozing an air of superiority.

Wear the jersey around town here in C.G....you'll thoroughly confuse all the local yokel UofA and ASU fans.

Sorry, MT Jack. I know it's lame to sound bitter with an 18-point win and one of the best players in the country. Sometimes my standards are set unreasonably high with Lillard, especially after a week where he averaged almost 38 points per game (probably the best week of his career). All is well in the universe. Too bad Northern Colorado couldn't hold on vs. Montana tonight and do us a favor.

We had a fun time at the game last night! Great to see the Wildcats win! Too bad we were late (got off work late and got caught in bad Phoenix traffic). We missed the first half but I thought we played pretty good in the 2nd half. Overall we had a great time! It was worth the trip.

I thought there were a good number of Weber fans at the game. I was pleasantly surprised! You could definitely hear the Weber fans cheering during the game. It makes me believe even more that for the game next year, if promoted well enough in advance and organized well, something more formal could be done with alumni, fans and the university. Between those of us that live in AZ and a few people from Ogden making the trip we could fill a whole section.

Any thoughts from anyone on how to get the ball rolling for something like this?

That is cool, I didn't know Damian had family around here. Any word on how he's feeling since the game? I noticed he was limping pretty good when he came to the bench for the last time. I didn't notice anything iced or anything like that after the game when I talked to him. I hope he's back strong for the next one.

i went to a local alumni party for the sac game. there was about 25 wsu alumni at the pregame party at a local resort. they also did one before the cal game but i wasn't notified for that one. i am in the wclub but not wsuaa. alumni assoc puts on the parties so that would need to be your point of contact - bev rudd.
